some data on cheap water filters i'm planning for my hot-shower:
3/4 inch inlet filter housing (rm25 each @ carrefour)
Polypropylene sendiment filter (free w/ filter housing) 5 micron
cto carbon block filter (less than rm10) 5 micron (pensonic's is certified by NSF? ->
http://www.pensonic.com/pproducts-pp.htm?c...=health%20care)more about microns frm wikipedia:
1 micron = 1 micrometer, symbol µm, (1/1000 millimeter)
ceramic filter = 1 micron
human hair is about 100 micron wide (0.1 millimeter)
Red blood cells are 7 micron in diameter
dust mite > 250 micron
HEPA air filter = 0.3 micron
Bacterial = 0.3 to 5 micron
virus = less than 0.45 micron
Nanobacteria = less than 0.2 micron
diameter of Carbon nanotube = 0.001 micron
width of protein α helix = 0.0005 micron
smallest molecule diatomic hydrogen (H2) = 0.000074 micron
radius of hydrogen atom = 0.000025 micron
