If I buy washing machine from Aeon Big, Tesco, TBM, Senheng etc... Can I ask them to take away the old/faulty washing machine once they deliver the new one? This is the first time I bought a replacement washing machine.

Would they take for free or they charge for a fee?
Looking fwd to buy this http://www.panasonic.com/my/consumer/home-...a-f90a5hrt.html

Yea, that model is the widest I can go. Due to space constraint of washing room door width.

Thanks.

Sometimes the way to lug a washing machine in is by turning it on a side that will fit the doorway so long as it doesn't exceed the width of the door. Be mindful also if the door cannot open beyond 90° angle in which case there's the door knob can block the way unless the machine lies on something like a handle-less wheeled cargo trolley like how piano transporters use to move pianos or the handlers skillfully negotiate to avoid the doorknob.

Yeah. The one that I'm planning to buy has the same width my my existing (kaput) washing machine. By referring to the brochure & I actually went to shop & measure it using measuring tape. So I guess it's fine.
Thanks for your input.

No worries. Just curious, how long was the last machine (what model) used and how did it kaput? Any good features liked, disliked, found useful, hyped but not useful, etc of the old machine?

Sharp ES-Q70EM. 7kg It's a TL. Bought back in Jan 2013. Bought it around RM700+. Just a day after I got married.
Nothing fancy about it. It's a basic TL which gets the job done. It has been acting up just recently. I couldn't turn it on. First I thought it's the fuse on the 3-pin plug. Changed the fuse (5A) then it's ok. Few days later it won't turned on again. A day later it becomes okay again.

Took the opportunity to wash each time it can be turned on LOL. I guess the controller board dying already. Not looking forward to repair it.

Sounds like humidity intrusion in the PCB area or the plug connecting at the board side iffy or humidity sensor detected moisture somewhere and doesn't allow turning on under this condition.

The washing room is it enclosed and how humid? Any mechanical ventilation to control humidity? Same space also used for hang drying laundry?

Googling your model turn this out as a result.

Another thing, when it doesn't operate, try using an extension cord or long gang connected to another 13A point elsewhere and connect to that. See if the socket in the washing area could be at fault.

Hi bro. Thanks a lot for the help. So informative & useful. Will keep those in mind for future reference.

I've bought a new TL Panasonic 9kg to replace the old one.

Anyone using this brand and model: https://www.panasonic.com/my/consumer/home-...a-f80a5hrt.html

Panasonic 8.0KG ActiveFoam System StainMaster NA-F80A5HRT

Saw it being featured in many departmental stores, not sure how good is it?

just posted a thread about avoiding Washer + Dryer. Just recently happened to my LG unit.

Those planning to get such 2 in 1 please take heed of the warnings there.

Thanks for sharing. That's very unfortunate.
