emm... getting panasonic inverter 10kg front load + panasonic inverter heat pump dryer soon (as cost 1k+ cheaper than electorlux).
is it wise to get extended 5years warranty for these 2 stuffs? if the replacement cost (mountings) is not much, then i may opt not to extend the warranty... adding up the cost of extended warranty can be shocking.gif

It is waste of money and a rip off from the shop.

Do you know that beside they get commission, they have quota to rip more with the extend warranty from the boss. Can't achieve target kena scold. So have to sell hard for the extend warranty.

Try to learn how to search a good product and reliable 1. That help you reduce the risk and save some money.
*
ya... but in case having high chance replacing part (like mounting) within 5years cost >rm300, then... extended warranty may be good unsure.gif. 1st choice is electorlux... but, can only get washer and condenser dryer with similar budget. Bosch... only available in franchise shop where discount is limited, i think KL/Johor may be easy to get...

Wow cool man... i always agree for those used high end tech  drool.gif  drool.gif

Please feedback the result of pana dryer  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
no la... the panasonic front load is ~rm2400-2600 for this sales season, but then not thinking of rojak the dryer brand (different size when stack up) + no space for vent type dryer + electrolux more expansive (washer + dryer)... Hope the panasonic combo will give me peace of mind.

If getting Panasonic, I'd suggest getting extended warranty as the 10kg model shock absorber quality is questionable. As for reliability, I am using NA140VX3 since 2012 and had one service call this year due to coins stuck in the sump just before the drain pump causing water unable to be pump out and clothes stuck inside the machine due to this. Avoided Electrolux because of this reason and it happened with the Panasonic as well.
*
Wow... how much is the charges for the absorber...? Will ensure no coin enters the washer, thanks alot for the warning! I hvn't experienced coin stuck the pump with my small front load electrolux though...

I am not sure, my absorber not yet kong. But looking at the machine struggling to balance load at max capacity is enough to proof that the absorber is not robust. There is a reason why the Panasonic is selling much cheaper despite being a 10kg machine smile.gif
*
Maybe the body is relatively small compare to drum, shorter distance for shock absorption (car with shorter mono-tube absorber) hmm.gif
over 6 years would be good enough for me too laugh.gif

Looking at the rate it is going on now, I think we will be able to manage to pull off 6 years of usage from this machine. It washes and rinses well, partially due to the 5 hydroactive spout which sprays either detergent or water to the tumbling clothes during the wash. I have opened this machine up, the PCB board is fully enclosed in a separate casing (like a CPU) away from moisture. The absorber is one of the area where they skimped, and also the door lock mechanism and the door assembly. If you have children or maid who use the machine roughly, then it may fail faster due to this. That said, a similarly priced BOSCH (abt 2.4k) display unit I saw at HN also had problem with door locks. Somehow, feel Hitachi front loader maybe better than the Panasonic.
*
thumbup.gif nice piece of information! Anyway, like the door handle (outer ring, more convenient) compare to the conventional handle hidden in inner ring.

QUOTE(kimsim @ Aug 11 2014, 06:12 PM)
Panasonic is using direct drive inverter motor right?
For those adsorber was using spring to tie from drum to body casing only.

ic ic, mod the spring rate then brows.gif

Emm, because air vent type needs exhaust hose, condenser release more heat to surroundings, so heat pump has some edge while more energy-efficient.

what kind of hose do you guys use for the inlet of water?

mine leaking, the section from the water tab.

i had problem with the old tap which has uneven/worn-out mount, the adapter will not able to seal the leak.

cheapest solution is cut away the adapter, use the few bucks stainless steel hose ring -> sure no more leak flex.gif

Bought Hitachi BD-W85TV 8.5 KG and with inverter drive, use it for 2 months already. When my mom came to my house and use it, she likes it very very much, compared to her washing machine in my hometown, it's Electrolux washing machine, with inverter as well (I don't know the model)...

I have studied for almost 3 months before choosing this Hitachi model, our family are always choosing Electrolux, but since I own a house, I want to give a try on another brands. We're new to Hitachi world, but seems it's a home appliance top brand  in Japan (Japanese are sensitive and very good in energy, price and time saving), so my wife and I gave it a try and the result is superb.

The major differences that my mom mentioned are about the noise and the vibration when rotates. This Hitachi model is very silence and almost no vibration when it's in top spin mode.

Now, we want to buy Panasonic dryer, NH-P80G2, it's an inverter heat pump condenser tumble dryer and I've already spent a month on survey and we decided to buy this one. I would make review about this model to people who are about to buy these machine.  smile.gif

thumbup.gif ... please also include a review on how much it will heat up the surrounding icon_question.gif

Sometimes too quiet when not into fast spinning that make me think it is not running.

Good to hear electrolux still upholding its reputation thumbup.gif

Looks like is a 2011 model.
Fail after 4 years doh.gif
Anyway, check the plug's fuse or change to another plug point to verify.
*
+1
Experienced b4, called service center (other brand) under warranty, ended up power point problem. Check the power point with table fan and check the fuse inside the power plug 1st.

I just tried my front load electrolux 7kg.
Compare to TL, well front load dun tanggle. You could easily take out your clothes one by one.
But I found that my FL got wee wee sound during spin. It much louder when it spin. Vibration is minimal.
Any one experience this problem before?
*
normal, no prob. few years and still running.

QUOTE(berry5788 @ Mar 20 2015, 02:43 PM)

Low sub is so expensive >.<
*
dynamo also applicable to front load... just check the description whether for top load/front load washing machine.

just sharing short term experience on:
a. panasonic na14vg3 fl 10kg washer:
so far so good with quick wash ~40~50mins program. good to put all load into washing net/nets in case using high rpm.

b. panasonic nhp80g2 dryer:
quick dry ~50min program can dry the load till 90-100% depending on the material/exposure, whereas default 1000rpm 2hour program can dry entire load completely. some tweaking option like spinning rpm can shorten some time. generally satisfying as not much heat release to surrounding.

To those using dryers  - how long does it takes to dry one load?
pls state if yours is vented or condenser type. TIA
*
Panasonic heat pump condenser, web state 1.68/1.05 kwh for full/partial load. Standard cotton dry program is 2 hours, no complain. Some noise during operation, good to have partition or sliding door to isolate, normal exhaust fan will keep the surrounding as cool.

2. After wash from washer & hanging next day then just do a dryer job.

Like my case option 2 and take 30mins dryered can fold already.

Dunno how save the energy as well, my model was electronlux 9kg heat pump dryer.
