Washing Machine - 18  Electric in SS2 PJ  - RM2450(including delivery) Others - RM2600++
So, I have a "less popular" Hitachi inverter Washing machine and we all like it.

As mentioned before, I spent solid 3 months on getting a washing machine. Our family are familiar with Electrolux products. But seems I own my house, so give it a try on new brand. Hitachi caught my eyes with its Japanese energy-saving and resource-efficiency spirit, on-going renovation and technology and also its brand popularity in Japan.

The model is BD-W85TV. (I think the model is already discontinued this year)



As already mentioned, the model is quite even in top spin, and my mother astonished by its operating sound and she likes it compared to her "jet-take-off-sound" Electrolux washing machine.

The most useful features to me are 15-mins fast cleaning, and also self-cleaning drum program, which it can clean the drum everytime after you wash your clothes, take extra 15 minutes to finish whole cleaning procedure (you can turn off this feature), and also temperatures setting for different type of clothes especially wool, cottons and my polymer-cotton sport wears.

Heating problem: As long as you keep a distance from walls of your machine, hence I found no problem at all for my machine. Note that my washing machine and dryer are put side by side, with around 10cm gap between them, and 10 cm away from the walls. My laundry room is more like an open-spaced room near my kitchen thus having good air ventilation, so no heating issue to me.

Result? My whole family likes it, especially my "ngiam-jiam" mum on using home appliances. So mission accomplished on this one..

The good: Everything mentioned above.
The bad: Hardly found any down side on the machine, can say it's nearly perfect, but needs Foamless Laundry Detergent - which only has little options to choose in daily products market.

I bought another dryer machine so I can save more time on cleaning my clothes.



This is Beko Dryer  DPU 8360 WG , which is a heat-pump dryer. The good:

i. A+ energy saving. It has a heat sensor. If your clothes are little to be dried and you select the extra-dry feature that needs 3 hours and run it, the machine will detect the temperature and dampness inside the drum and will stop the process if the clothes are dry enough.

ii. Heat-pump dryer. No extra water pipes, and easy to use. What I need is to clear the water tank and clean the filter everytime after I use it.

iii. Got drum light. LCD display...

The bad:
Spend hours to dry clothes. Sometime forgot to take out my clothes. But I think it won't damage my dryer if I left it for whole day, because no specific reminder on its instruction manual.

I don't have specific reason on choosing Beko. But I do have done research on this dryer and seems Beko is reliable and many years in manufacturing washing machine and dryers so I give it a try. Result? Totally satisfied with it after a year.

Lastly, ALL my electric appliances are bought from 18 Electric SS2. Non of the prices can be beaten by others. Spent few months on all of them in specs, techs, and prices... Especially the price sometime you can get few hundred cheaper until mom can't recognize and you can't believe whether it's second hand or not.. (just kidding)
