Hi guys
My mom washing machine finally break down after serving us for more than 17yrs
Front loaded, brand : ELBA
I think repair once long time ago, also the door handle spoilt once, but it does serve us well until today. The water stop discharging out, i think the pump spoilt d, and my mom finally decide to get a new one.
New WM target is top-loaded (easier for my old parent). Load 7kg to 10kg. Budget max.1500
Just now had a glance through on lazada,
1) samsung
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.tFzF- look nice, button on top, less risk of control panel damage by water. saw the introduction, looks like got quite some function there and even prewash
2) Sharp
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.tCYM- holess tube ? Not sure the pro and cons, sound very high tech. Also got quite a lot of function too.
3) Hitachi
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.tGjW- Made in Thailand and japan quality. I think this is one of the cheapest Inverter WM i can find ? But more expensive than samsung and sharp by 200. Not sure if worth it ?
Or i should go for nom inverter model ? Quite like the function of self cleaning.
Guys can give some advice ?
Sivanathan04 and Career26 uses the Sharp holesless washers. You can read it way back. Hitachi TL inverters are pricier because of the inverter motor and glass top but it has drum clean. So does the Sharp and if the other appliance makers work their salt wants to stay relevant, most should by now be equipping their washers with drum clean.
Granted the intention but I doubt if they'll like how TL treats clothes compared to what they are used to in the FL.
Elba, Daewoo and Toshiba (yes) front load are value for money and all except Elba have drum clean. The front loads can be raised by building a raised plinth that fits the washing machine to stand on. Raise it by at least 50-60cm. Some are creative that they allow storage within the raised height. The surface on which the machine rest on should be non slippery when who to prevent it from walking when it spins esp at higher than 1000rpm.
My in-law raises theirs to prevent occasional flooding ruining their machine but as an incidental effect they didn't have to bent down. I do it in my bathroom to allow washing the toilet floors but it it will be hard for the man who repairs it to bring it down alone without a extra pair of hand and a little help like a carrier
harness.
