Water usage wouldnt different, from RPM of speed would effect on when unloaded cloths and feel some wet remaining, like top load maximum at 800 Rpm only.

For landed house without any issue when hand on cloths rack and take longer time for drying only.

If open air much better without any badly smell.

Regarding on samsung filtering design was impressive, thier used very fine nett for filter, drum got roller at the bottom also for help the cloths turning more eaier to spins.

7kg FL compartment quite smaller leh, daily use 3 to 4 persons still ok.

But comforter can't be wash already, due to 7kg compartment and door opening much smaller than TL.

The ideal you own smaller capacity and bring out comforter for kedah dobi then solved.

For 800RPM to 1200RPM, the ballpark is between 70-75% to 55-60% residual moisture content. After which between 1400 to 1600 is about 50% to 44% but that depends on the drum size also. The larger the diameter of the drum, the less rotational speed needed to achieve the same residual moisture content than a smaller one. Larger drum size for a front load is anything larger than the standard equipment width of 600x600x850mm (WxDxH).

Time to wash completion is a function of load, temperature, program (determined by fabric type which influences spin speed - eg wool cannot take any higher than 800rpm, some even limit it to 400rpm) and any incidental factors imposed - eg intensive care (more water, pre-rinse, etc).

From my own experience, I used to own a 6kg 1000rpm washer. Dries quite ok like less than 1-2 hours on very sunny dry day under a zinc roof and protected from rain. On rainy days, 4-8 hours. Once my washer had a problem and we used a 800rpm washer elsewhere. It took longer to dry. From here, we decided that that in future, any FL washers we purchase will be no slower than 1000rpm. My replacement washer spins at 1600rpm.

TL carry too heavy load already still need it spin faster, i think the motor really over load can be spoil more faster than FL at all.

The worst case from the design on vertical tube motor work harder than horizontal FL drum from 30-50% water only.

If both washing same amount of cloths from TL used more water to wash top layer of cloths, unlike FL just used 40% water can be turning much easier.

I may be wrong but I hazard a guess that commercial grade fl would have used long endurance components? They probably cost more for the same capacity. They are heavily utilized in a day vs home grade fl.

Commercial FL WM cost around 45-50K. A std capacity as what you see in laundry shop. With such high price in commercial machine, definitely is durable. I think the boss is idiot if he get a machine that does not last long even for a return cost.

The main reason why laundry shop using FL is the water and power save. Anything that high operating cost is bad for business. I guess you know that.

your wm front load or top load? combo definitely cheaper than both separate but you need to be aware of its limitations. otoh, also got its own given advantage. See pg 79 of this thread as it's discuss there from thread post 1561 onwards. Washer dryer thread also got other suggestions like kochin's even cheaper dryer alternative which can be considered in a tight confined space and budget.
