I thaught nowaday spinning speed select is normal for washing macine. No? Cause not all the cloth can be spin that fast.

Last yrs brought an LG and spinning is selectable like 400/600/800/1000/1200. Man, I won't select 1200rpm. The whole machine shake like hell. But the cloth is very dry.

meaning that they put more power into the drum to make it spin faster and drier... but i guess, apart from the shaking thing, it will destroy the clothing as well.. due to more friction...

I'm thinking between either a Toshiba or LG. Any recommendations? Why is it better compared to others?

Not more power into the drum. The new washing machine is using direct drive inverter motor. Which the motor can control the speed according to preset program or selection spinning speed.

The cloth not destroy by friction. Destroy by the puling force. Spinning more faster will stress the cloth longer cause by gforce. The puling gforce too will force the water comeout from the cloth.

how bout Hitachi intelligence spin range? isit good? anyone using it? seem like nobody is recommending this brand....

been using a cheapo 6.5kg LG washing machine for the past 6-7 years, still working fine

usage : 2-3 times a week. I just wash whenever I see my laundry bag full

+ve - has economy function - but i have no idea what economy means, less water i assume ..haha

-ve side - cannot wash with hot water
- no timer, but i hardly wait for it....meantime watch astro already 1hour.. I tend to wash n forget trus me, if the timers are no use at all..

Can anyone recommend a washing machine for a household with 7 people? I'm considering either Sharp, Toshiba, Hitachi or Electrolux. I have confidence with Toshiba since my previous Toshiba washing machine lasted me for about 10 years.

For those that have a dryer included, how much extra does it cost? Is it efficient and reliable?

Hmm.. Maybe you need a bigger washing drum for 7 people cloth. If I not mistaken Hitachi have a washing machine with a biggest drum but smaller size.

With such a big load, maybe you need a separate dryer instead combine type. Combine type cannot have full load for dryer. Example washing can max 12kg but dryer max is 7kg.

It double the cost of normal washing machine. Efficient is depend on how you use it. You cannot load max into dryer like washing machine. Otherwise some cloth will remain wet abit .

First time seeker/ buyer of washing machine...
What brand? Where 2 buy? What should I look out for? What price range?
I'm single, so don't need a huge KG type machine.

Toshiba looks hitech with more functions and controls, while Sharp is more plain and with basic functions. but unsure about the quality, noise level, and reliability. anyone here using either of those?

Knowing how Invertor works to save electricity, I do not see how it can save electricity in washing machine.

recently bought Toshiba AW-1190SM for rm1299 i felt its much more better than my samsung WA12VP (rm1240) both also 10kg. toshiba i think the cloths are much more cleaner but samsung interface much more easier to used. toshiba only got 4 water level while samsung got 7 level, and more washing program also. but design and end of washing process sound of samsung much more better lol.
