you do know that with side by side fridge you lose the ability to store large items right? a cake would have a hard to time to fit as the compartment are kindda narrow.
personally i think the upside to a side by side fridge is that you could have ice dispenser at the door. otherwise a french door fridge would be better. i've seen a hitachi french door with 560l nett selling for RM3k that have a water dispenser at the door.
