Reason is because the Freezer is below which is more practical. Dunno if about that, it's easy to get vegetables, simply open bottom compartment and take them out, with freezers, things tends to get stuck together, and need some effort to get them unstuck. Further more with a smaller bottom compartment for freezer, the angle at which you need to approach in order to get the stuff out is steeper, ie need to bend more (attached friendly diagram) Attached thumbnail(s)
