My 7 year old Samsung sbs is the most problematic among all fridges I've owned. Hopefully the reliability has improved. To Samsung's credit, the after sales support is good although it outsource the repair work.

Generally the concern about EU appliances that don't really have a principal presence would be the aftersales..I take risk only if its cheap eg. ex display sets of dishwasher like Indesit or Fagor..uneconomically viable and/or impossible to get spare parts coz parent company ceased operation or just don't have strong local distributor here.

TBH, I haven't seen one in person (in a home).. in stores yes laugh.gif

I had a Fagor front loading washing machine that was provided by developer. On 4th year it was spoiled. Called Fagor and technician came to troubleshoot n concluded the pcb spoilt. He said there is no part available as it's considered obsolete model.

Two of my previous Sharp fridges had door seal issue. The seal shrank and causing cold air leak. Samsung is no no for me.broke down 4 times during the first 6 years. Even my eldest sis who bought one last year experienced problem within the first month. Panasonic is the non problematic one so far.
