Hi all,

My 12 years old Samsung SR-30NMB fridge just don't chilled anymore, thinking to replace with Sharp 2 Door Fridge "HAPPIO" [SJ432TSL]

Is the Sharp fridge a good buy and save energy (electricity bill raises syndrome)?

Any feedback, opinion and suggestion are most welcome....

Forgot to ask, where to find the best deal of this Sharp fridge in KL/PJ? Btw, I stay in Kepong.

Many thanks all smile.gif
*
Hi Colim98:

SJ432TSL rated as 5 Stars Energy Saving therefore save energy. If your budget allow, may add few hundred to get
Sharp KAGAMI Series [SJPT-499GBK], this model give you more elegant look if you like glass door.

You may ask the price at Weng Hing Kepong, just beside to RHB Bank, opposite to Restaurant Happy Court, nearby AEON Big Kepong.

Alternatively, you may consider Hitachi fridge and compare with Sharp as the their price range nearly the same.

heya guys smile.gif

anybody got xperience with Toshiba? this fairly new model WG71MDA
http://toshiba.com.my/refrigerator/gr-wg71...ml#.Uszwv_QW1aQ

Quite nice design and price wise quite ok for 650l. Price range from RM2799 at Sen Heng and RM2350 at Jintex.

My other selection is Samsung rt59fbsl;
http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/home-ap...r/RT59FBSL1/XME

Price in Best Denki is RM1999 but I saw in Lelong got some electric shop got 'warehouse clearance' sell it for RM1450 only.
*
I admit that Korean brand Samsung or LG some of their model design look nice, my general guideline, will go for Japaneses brand, therefore I will choose Toshiba between these 2.

Hi thanks for the feedback!

But Toshiba doesnt really have enough info... no energy info.. no stars whatsoever.. scared later consumption high. even on their website the info is scarce. its like there is no marketing at all for this model lol.
*
As just now you mentioned these 2 brand, therefore my answer will be Toshiba.
If this is the case, you might consider Sharp Kagami Series or Hitachi Big 2 Series, there are rated as 5 Stars Energy Saving.

Hi Galaxy Angel,

Thank you so much for info sharing, really appreciated a lot smile.gif

Yup, I know where Weng Hing is because the current Samsung fridge was bought from there...LOL
The problem with Weng Hing is if pay by credit card, 2% surcharge, and not sure if there is interest free installment, cash is always preferred method of payment..

Definitely I will drop by Weng Hing to check out the fridge model and price.

Thanks again for your opinion and suggestion, have a pleasant day smile.gif
*
Yup, agreed, there will be a surcharge by using the credit card.
You may try another shop HCH Electric, just beside to Zean shop (Builders Hardware), I find a good deal for my fan and hob + hood.

If you need the contact, let me know, will PM you.

Recently, i go to my friend's house to look at his new Hitachi R-Z610EM fridge. I saw that this model have no lamp inside the freezer, my friend say nowadays all new fridges have no lamp inside the freezer already, is this true?

Feel very uncomfortable when searching for things stored inside the freezer with no lamp.
*
Yup, current Hitachi model has no lamp in their top freezer.
Just for your info, Hitachi will launch NEW series fridge, inveter type with dual fan cooling.
This type of fridges do have energy saving LED lamp at both compartment (top freezer & bottom fridge)

Model number R-VG580P3M

Saw it at pandan jaya - display clearance. Good value but got some dent on the door.

Whats so good bout this compared to others?
*
I would advise not to go, as you already noticed that is some dented further more this is display unit...
For long run, if your fridge down, will be hard to get the spare parts, even you able to able to get it, will be very expensive.

Suggest for for Japaneses brand.

Thank you as it may be indeed hard to get replacement parts. The fisherpaykel unit was on display but was never switched on. Warranty starts from date of delivery.

Any good lasting japanese brand to recommend based on my budget 2-4k? Thanks
*
Any Japanese will do, depend which is your cup of tea. Such as top freezer or bottom freezer, glass door or metal door, compartment design, energy saving type or inverter type, warranty period and etc...

You may have a look for Mitsubishi, Hitachi.

Just for your info, Hitachi soon will launch new series fridge, inveter type with dual fan cooling. You may check with electrical shop for more info.

Hi Galaxy Angle, I'm currently having dilemma between Hitachi n Samsung fridge. Could you help?

I'm looking at Hitachi RZ420EML without inverter but rated 5 star for elec saving, lowest I got is 1299. But I'm comparing with Samsung with digital inverter RT32FARADSA lowest I get is 1498. Can't find their electrical consumption from specification.

I'm looking for this size range for elec saving and durable fridge. Could you help? :-)
*
In my opinion, I will always choose Japaneses brand for fridge compare to Korean brand as I have no idea how long lasting it will be.

I also do a search for Samsung fridge RT32FARADSA and no information about the consumption & energy star.

Back to your question, I will choose Hitachi instead of Samsung.

As mentioned earlier, Jintex no longer sell at price RM1288, just paid a visit on their web site and the selling price now is RM1380.
You may contact Ah Fei (016-6687011) which I find a good deal with him for most of my home appliances, he is selling Hitachi R-Z420EM at RM1280 at the moment. You may tell him my name, Steven introduce smile.gif

Good luck and do share with me your experience if you manage to deal with him.

went to 18 electric last sat oredi.
ah fei was strongly recommend Mitsubishi brand for fridge, end up bought a MR-F30 at RM1080, not sure cheap or not cheap..only 240L capacity. For washing machine, he is recommend Toshiba brand.  so i choose a small one 7.2kg only @ RM670, jux slightly cheaper than jintex price shown in their website. hopefuly both items size are enough for 2 person.. For ceiling fan, he is strongly recommend the brand Deka, honestly i never heard this brand la & he told us that only 1years + in market & 3years warranty. But i play safe, chose KDK  cox my brother & father in law  are strongly recommend KDK, in kampung one already use 30yrs & so far no problem...apa pun sudah bayar balik.... so  bought 4units KDK ceiling fan& 2units Alpha water heater. Total spend Rm3880...
Price wise, not sure cheap or not cheap cox i dint survey/study about mitsubishi/toshiba b4 go the shop..hopefully price is reasonable & the most important is long lasting! save energy!
and the service, so far is ok for me, at least he will explain & wont tell me "all same use one la" or " the brand also good one" likes others..hopefully the after sales service also good.
any comment for the brand & price above?
*
Hi evoguefashion:

Thanks for the sharing. This is my finding about fridge & washing machine.

The price for Mitsubishi MR-F30E is reasonable, this model came with 5 stars energy saving.

Whereas the price for Toshiba 7.2kg washing machine also reasonable.
I guess the model you bought should be AW-A820MM, this new model equipped with zero power consumption when the washer is on a standby mode and will Auto Power Off. Zero Standby Power model saves up to 20% of the energy compared to its previous model.

The capacity that you choose will be enough for 2 peoples.

You make a wise decision by choosing KDK. thumbup.gif

The only good and lasting ceiling fan is the regulator type. Regardless Panasonic or KDK.

If you opt for remote type, KDK/Panasonic will have the common problems (i.e. remote/receiver spoiled) too. I just changed my KDK Baby Fan to Deka due to this reason.
*
Agreed with your comment as the receiver board keen to spoiled, Deka that you changed also with remote type or regulator type? As so far I know Deka model all is remote type, right?

Yes, remote type too. Just because of the price i choose Deka.

IC, another attractive point is Deka do offer 3 years warranty.
How long your KDK has been used before spoiled?

Between these brand, which one will be my cup of tea? Depend on their design and function.

Hi Ashly:
