Bought the cheapest/smallest Folio at ESH RM4700. The bigger brother at 520X is only asking about 1k more, I think!

But due to my kitchen cabinet, I only want a white color fridge and only the smallest folio come in white.

BTW, if you all want to go for the Hitachi 5/6 door version which is all same design ie all are drawer except for the upper door, if you are very particular type, you will realize that the ice maker compartment is open next to meat area which I wasn't keen.

More accurately, find out the energy consumption per year.

You can refer to the Singapore National Environment Agency's website where there is a database of test results for registered appliances (fridge, aircon, etc). This should help you on your research. Do take note, esp for aircon, that not all models available in MY are available in SG, and vice versa:

I'm using Panasonic 601XS. So far it has been fine. I don't have that many stuff to put inside yet, hence I cannot comment on how well it performs under load. My only complaint so far is that the freezer compartment does not have lights! I noticed the same about other Panasonic refrigerators. Very strange.

I use the 551XS, same as the 601XS, just one less shelf - totally love it, cold even though all settings are at minimum/energy saving mode. I think most refrigerators don't have lights in the freezer section, maybe for high end ones?

Sharps and Toshibas have freezer lights in most models.

I put mine in mid temperature settings. I have thermometers inside the fridge to measure temperature, since the fridge doesn't have indicators. I keep my fridge section at about 3-4 C and my freezer section at about -18C. It's good to have thermometers so you know your fridge is working fine. I bought mine from Daiso.

ADJ, how is your freezer drawer? I find mine doesn't glide out as smoothly these days. Maybe the wheels are frozen smile.gif

good idea on the thermometer - will go try it out. i rarely use my freezer except to make ice cubes tongue.gif
in fact, the fridge is overkill for me as i'm just a single guy using it, just put cold water, ice, eggs and beer icon_idea.gif
