Did all the necessary steps i feel. pwn the iTunes, put into DFU mode, yada yada yada... use winpwn 2.0.0.3 and bild your own firmwareI guess I might have to restore to original 2.0 firmware first then put my iPhone to DFU again and load the custom 2.0 onto it. Or is there any better idea? Added on July 27, 2008, 3:18 amGreat. Now i got error 6 |

QUOTE(Samanoske Akechi @ Jul 27 2008, 08:00 PM) Haha. Don't mention it, mate. Congrats to you for making the journey and coming out alive and well Bro need some advice.I did use winpwn 2.0.0.2 and managed to restore without any errors but before restore you have to put your phone in DFU mode which means your phone screen is blank. Mine showed the itunes cable logo but i did the restore without any errors. Did i do it right?P.S. Mike, get on MSN. I have the 'goods' Appreciate your advice Thanks |

QUOTE(bola @ Aug 3 2008, 12:02 AM) hi uninstall and reinstall remote and after that make sure your wifi works and the passcode keyed in is same on both your iphone and pcive upgraded to iphone 2.0 firmware (via PwnageTools on the Mac) and had no major issues. i dont get that 16XX errors that some guys here encounter but i do get a prompt saying: "An update to the carrier settings for your iPhone is available. Would you like to download it now?" i just click Cancel. i however cannot get Remote to work with my itunes 7.7.1 (on the WinXP PC) when i turn on Remote on the iphone and choose "Add Library" a 4-digit passcode pops up and when i enter the 4-digit passcode into itunes it goes into "Verifying Remote Passcode" after about 30 secs it goes back to asking for the passcode again. i had no problem connecting to the mac's itunes (7.7.1 also) though. am i missing something? |
