I'm in the dark here regarding the pawning tools for the iPhone as I used ZiPhone 3.0 for my iPhone. So if I were to use firmware 2.0, I'll simply restore to that firmware than let the WinPwn do the unlocking/jailbreaking/activating process? I like the default state for my iPhone, doesn't really keen on doing mods to the files.

I don't know, that's why I'm asking. I just want the firmware 2.0 in default state for my phone and let the WinPwn do the rest.

Also, the WinPwn is not that stable after all. Users are reporting getting error 16xx everytime they launch iTunes. Installer 4.0 is not yet available, just be patient for a moment while.

http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1572This tutorials by iClarified seems easy and doable for me to join the firmware 2.0 bandwagon. So after I've restored the custom firmware, my phone will be activated, unlocked, & jailbreaked right? Can fully use any network?

Here's what I understand, using WinPwn actually mod the stock firmware to do stuff like activating, unlocking, jailbreaking, and modding. So after restore using the custom firmware we're good to go?
Before putting iPhone into DFU mode and restore, must install BootNeuter and neuter it right?

Before restore the custom firmware on the phone, run BootNeuter and then should I restore back to 1.1.4 stock firmware and then proceed with another restore with custom firmware? That's alot of work.

Okay, I'm finally on 2.0 (5A347). Btw, does anyone know how to clear up some space for third-party apps?

kai5814, I've followed the iClarified tutorials and also with the help of a friend (Samanoske Akechi) thanks and I managed to run firmwarer2.0 on my iPhone now. You should try a couple of times, I tried mine twice. Timothy, when can you give me the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _?

Checkout http://www.winpwn.com, they've updated some screenshot on WinPwn 2.5. I can't wait for it! Keyboard typing on SMS is always laggy, apps do crash, scrolling are buggy and turning to landscape mode in iPod, Safari, and Photos takes quite awhile at times. Hope that firmware 2.0.1 will fix this problems.

QUOTE(lordsharingan @ Aug 1 2008, 07:38 PM) must i update to 2.0 first before doing the winpwn? No, WinPwn actually mods the stock firmware 2.0 so after you've restore using iTunes with the custom firmware 2.0 then you don't have to mess with unlocking, activating or jailbreaking.
