6 - Starkiller needs a star to power up. How many planets in their galaxy with more than 1 Sun? Suck up a Sun -> fire it -> no more Sun to power up -> abandon it and build second Starkiller? Might as well build 5 Deathstar with that resources

//yap..pure fan service with bigger scale..and poor concept of superweapon..

It appears Starkiller base (SKB) is approximately as big as Mars.... A sun in a solar system is approximately hundreds of thousand times more massive than a nearby rocky planets... Example: The Sun is 330k times more massive than Earth (mass to mass).

It appears SKB only siphon the outer plasma of it's host sun, enough to dim it temporary..... it does not consume the sun...hence the one base with almost limitless usage...would last millions/billions of years...

More troubling would be the firing of the weapon has to go through wormhole/hyper-drive/warp-drive as well...this is because SKB is half a galaxy away from Hosnian Prime, say 50k light-years... for Han/Rei/Finn/Kylo on Takodana to be able to observe the beam(s) and the destruction of the planet...Takodana would have to be on the same solar system, if it's another star system, it'll be too far to see the beams and even if the explosion can be seen it'll take half a year or longer to be seen (star to star distance)... if the weapon traveled at the speed of light, it would take 50k years. SKB at most is a planet destroyer, and not a solar system destroyer.

By warping the travel space for the beam, it can be fired anytime (when charged) even without direct line of sight....unlike the 2 previous death stars...

^p.s...... Scientific review, justification...

Light or Dark....is the same Force... just which variant/side one would use...

It'll be great if Luke, mastered it as a whole without differentiation...

star wars is a fantasy set in space. it doesnt need scientific justifications. i tried that a long time ago...

SciFi fantasy.... always better with extrapolation of real physical observational properties.... a galaxy far far away is still in this Universe... also a reason why Mythbuster still can test aspects of the lore...

The movie is alot of fun and full of energy. Love Finn and Rey.

Problem was the story and no sense of continuity from previous movie.
I mean the whole galaxy was celebrating in Eps VI, how in the hell everything goes to shit now?
*
Just Endor & the rebels in the battle were celebrating.....some books & comics were published in the past 2 years for new story canon for the 30 years in between, more will be publish after FA.

...or in more dramatic way: "lightsaber itulah yg paling banyak makan darah"
i think, 'Rey' character is unique, after TFA , we dont know if Rey is really Luke's daughter, or Solo's twins.. the twist will be in Ep 8 , and only Luke can answer ..
but i am more convince that, it will be:

Luke: "Rey, he (Ben Solo) is your twins"

Rey: "NoooooooOOooOo"

..why Leia keep it as secret?
Maybe, Han always wanted to have a son, and he was not there during birth.
So, Leia give it to Luke....  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

Ben/Kylo... in the movie canon... is around a decade older than Rey.... Leia gave birth to Ben not long after Endor

The one that killed in the event of order 66 was Aayla secura. The blue twilek.

Other famous female Jedi is shaak ti (not much line in movie but have more lines in the clone wars cartoon), adi gallia among others.

QUOTE(greyshadow @ Dec 22 2015, 11:46 AM)
in Ep8, Luke will tell Rey
"You are my father"

and Rey will scream
"NOooOooOo!!"

Rey is incarnation of Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker's force spirit
That's why Rey is more powerful than Kylo
*
If so... Luke would say you're a GMO (to be female) clone of his father...

Reincarnation does not/have not happen in SW...

QUOTE(Ichighost @ Dec 24 2015, 10:17 AM)
what if Knight of Ren actually inspired by Darth Revan from KoToR?

Revan
Rean
Ren

if the theory that all Knights of Ren were former Jedi Padawan under Luke that turned to the darkside of Sith, then it will be suitable for them to adopt Revan name..being both Jedi and Sitth..

new info about Snoke..background music when Snoke appeared almost similar with the one when Palpatine talked about Plegueis..
*
The Sith Ideology most probably died with the Emperor/Vader.... just the Dark side now... there was nothing on the Sith in Ep 4 to 6....
