the lowest price for 160gb rm850-rm880 ( CECH-3000 Series ) , if rm700 surely recon set or old model which is ( CECH-2500 Series ) .. cheaper then that may be you can try ps2 which cost around rm380 nowdays

rm1199 for 320GB @ sony style + sony centre .. currently they only bring in 320GB models .. if SG set of 320gb it will cost rm950

simple answer ~ not worth buying modded ps3

modded ps3 have to stick to old firmware , once you update to latest firmware , your console back to standard

if you want local support for the warranty , go for PS3 malaysia set ( by sony malaysia ) ..the price for 320GB rm1199 ( sony centre and sony style )

if you okey with imported set , the price for 320GB rm950 ( warranty by sony where they come from , example : singapore set by sony singapore )

# sony malaysia wont accept imported PS3 for warranty purpose .. but most sellers including me , we can claim the warranty on behalf , but you have to pay for the handling fees )

for second hand games .. some games required codes to play online , usually it came with the game itself .. how ever if the first owner already redeemed the codes , you need to purchase another codes via playstation network ( psn ) in order for you to play via online , if the first owner didnt redeem the codes you are lucky , how ever most games can play online straight away even its second hand

for blu-ray , playstation 3 can support 3D blu ray movie .. so if you got 3d support tv .. this baby one of the must have gadget

any region of PS3 console would be fine .. yours cech-3001B basically US set .. US set more cheaper compared with others like Singapore , Malaysia and Japan set ..

US sets rm800-rm880 , Singapore sets rm950 - rm980 ( 320GB ) , Malaysia sets RM1199 ( 320GB ) , Japan set most of it would be Limited Edition ( 160GB / 320GB ) the price depending on the sets itself

all same in terms of performance and spec in fact your ps3 is the latest series in the market ( cech-3000 series )
