Just got YLOD symptom to my phat ps3... Considering to buy the white ps3 slim. Any idea if the console cover material would turn yellowish as time goes by?

I got both phat and slim on my house, both run ok. But the slim run much cooler, so i think less chance to get YLOD.

First of all pls don't annihilate me for asking some noob Q's cauz I am really not into these games stuffs.
I wanted to buy the PS3 for my kids.
Beside buying the console, extra controller and games (I guess must be at Sony Style) is there any other accessories that I need to buy to make it complete and pls do recommend the best game for football and war (planes).

Any inputs will be very much appreciated.

dont buy them any game console, very addictive, games are priced RM150+, they'll be thinking about games 24/7, it'll spoil their future.
Let them grow up, work and get their own consoles.

flash games for free - check
parental control - check
learn new things such as pron history, science, math from Mr Google - check
blah2 stuffs(check urself la )

for RM2000 desktop can tapau PS3 in everything for 3-5 years

Imo, better get my set. The price difference is not really big but easier for claiming warranty sice now, owner himself must be present to claim warranty.

Just bought MY set 320GB black + 1 free game (street fighter 4) for 1199 at PC fair yesterday

Frankly, i'm kinda lost faith in ps3 due to ylod issue... Might jump ship to xbox. Only thing holding me back is ff series and the lousy xbox controller.

y u no like sony? Region free is a bliss leh... xbox goodies only oversea people got.. we asian dun have this type of support..
