QUOTE(kaiser_falco @ Jul 23 2008, 05:55 PM) hmm this is a great score..yours?damn good but got any benchmark on vantage?coz this score extremely offset coz of processor speed..huhuhu damn good oc though..just want to see roughly at 4.0ghz with that core clock 895 doing on vantage.. Not mine, saw it in a post at hardwarezone. I also duno where he gotten the score. I oledi posted mine earlier before that. I'm not on crossfire also. Impress with that score. Once again ppl who having issue with heat on 4870 get a 3rd party cooler. I played the witcher for like 5 hrs n again monitoring the temp never pass 70'c. I'm not in aircon n not poluted by fan noise. I'm so enjoying the game til i forgot time to work www. Play at 1920x1200 at max detail is something what my previous 9600GT hard to do. I'm very sensitive with the temp thing, i prefer to run them cool. Wow imagine playing fifa or winning evelen at that resolution.

Concernin the benchmark thing long long time ago around 3dmark01 era that time i play alot of benchmark with my gfx card. Especialy when ATI 9700pro that era. Now maybe old liao ww for the past few yr whenever i buy a new card i just use the 3dmark to test the card stability. The score doesnt mean anythin to me anymore but im always still impress with the ppl who try to push n compete the score at the database.

QUOTE(Federer @ Jul 24 2008, 09:19 AM) I use 2gb team xtreem in vista. Mobo biostar tp i45. All brand new items. Other games- neverwinter nights 2 played for a while. Will play for a longer period after this. Will find more game soon, from my friend. I use ATI catalyst 8.6. get the 8.7 driver .. and check if your motherboard driver are updated. what psu you use? could be psu also. 77'c idle is damn hot.. I wonder how you can bear with it.

Seriously I really wonder how you people can bear with the noise it make when it pump up the fan speed..
when the first time I buy.. I put in and test whether can start.. 5 min later .. I stripped it naked and put in on with Thermalright HR03 GT and artic silver 5.. then enjoy my card starting from there till now..
run a benchmark on 3dmark06 to test stability, checking the temp and no f***in noise which I cannot bear especially when I play game. so far the longest game I play on it was The Witcher for like 5-6hours of gameplay.. no lock up or crash bullshit...
so far so good.. I loved it.. and I highly recommend you to get the 3rd party cooler.. if you plan to run crossfire get thermaltake duoorb...
I got my thermalright last time for sgd95.. ya I know fukin expensive.. but.. I wanna tell you it fukin worth every penny! : D

QUOTE(iostream @ Jul 25 2008, 11:24 AM) Different ears have different acceptance levels. Different casings have different noise isolation capabilities too. ic.. my casing used for 8 years www.. the old skool CM ATC210C www.. and I know my casing wasn't so good at air ventilation and the noise isolation... that's why I'm more skeptical on that both part. I loved my casing.. and still no have plan to upgrade.. if I wanna upgrade .. probably will be a really expensive one.. otherwise.. I can't bear to part with it.. got feeling with it liao.. : D

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jul 28 2008, 05:16 PM) That GPU cooler is so big...eats up 3 slots?? What's your temp? 56'C idle. Never pass 70'C at gaming. That is Thermalright HR-03GT and it suppose to perform better.. but my casing sucks coz very small... the air is not good. I took the picture coz I was changing the psu.. otherwise I also don't bother to do this. : D

QUOTE(8tvt @ Jul 28 2008, 05:31 PM) if that range i think better use stock cooler.. you got see what is inside my casing? all the hardware produce heat and my casing space so small.. I can get that temp I oledi very happy.. sumore it run almost silent... not like the stockcooler, with all due respect... a rubbis or sampah! anyway.. I reckon people wait for 3rd party card come out.. or change the god damn stockcooler if you cannot tahan the noise it make or else live with that.. whichever you like it's your choice : D Added on July 28, 2008, 5:46 pmQUOTE(Kuroro @ Jul 28 2008, 05:32 PM) juine I can't see anything in your casing lol. So many stuff Currently I am still using the stock cooling and up the fanspeed to 50%. I must admit, it's a bit loud. But overall, pretty good temperature still. Idles around 52 - 55 degrees. 60 plus when playing games and stuff. you dunno how I hate to open that casing and do modification.. ugh.. was a nightmare.. not fun at all.
