QUOTE(D-Zire @ Jul 28 2008, 10:47 AM) Dunno. I'm not into OC GPU, stock fan and card do just fine. Added on July 28, 2008, 12:17 pm QUOTE(Zavia/GenX @ Jul 28 2008, 11:08 AM) Hey guys, i heard from a shop that the cheaper casings, when placed with a 4850, will have some of the harddrive bays blocked. He then recommended a cooler master casing. As long as big enough, then should be okay. I'm using an ICUTE casing with 3HDD also. Just don't put the HDD at the point where the cars is sitting. Anyway, i like to space out my HDD to have better airflow and prevent heat entrapment, so no issues.Just wondering, is that true? Cos for me, i get a rm 90 casing can de. But i need atleast 3 hdd bays, so wana check it out with you ppl. This post has been edited by Matrix: Jul 28 2008, 12:17 PM |

QUOTE(Kuroro @ Jul 28 2008, 01:56 PM) I had that issue when I got it. Basically if i aligned my 4870 and harddisk... I think there is only like an inch to two inches of space left... and thats without the power and SATA cables! I forgot to mention i have to disable my CD-RW coz the IDE cable is getting in the way. No big lost, since i rarely use it and only use the DVDRW anyway. So basically I had to improvise a bit the cable arrangements...etc... make sure they are further away from each other. If you using up to 3 hdd bays, I would suggest a bigger casing. I use two and it is pretty cramp already, putting airflow into consideration. |

Best Warranty - Gigabyte and ASUS, both 3 years warranty. Personally, i'll recommend Gigabyte.
And yes, the 4850 comes with a DVI->HDMI converter, make sure it's in the box when you purchase. |

Anyone playing 4850 with a 22" monitor @ 1650 x 1080 (native resolution)??
Can tahan or not? I'm thinking of buying a 22" LCD this PC Fair, but scare the resolution is too much too handle. I've tested with my 32" LCD @ 1360 x768, still very smooth though. btw, i've tested the HDMI sound on the 4850. No problem, sound came out of my LCD TV via HDMI. |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Aug 20 2008, 07:31 AM) Just received my 4850 GS yesterday as well It should be provided. Check your packaging manual and see if it's included. If not, kena conned....and please tell us your brand!(so we can stay away from it). If packaging manual says included, you kena con by shop.....very hard to demand it now, should check when buying.Btw, all the reference 4850 provides a dvi-hdmi connector right? This item seems to be missing for my 4850 GS.. or probably it isn't provided? |

QUOTE(xchoit @ Aug 20 2008, 05:43 PM) hmm can HD4850x2 perform well on 24inch monitor for gaming? plan to buy 1 HD4850 1st then another HD4850 later... if not need to buy HD4870 lor.. T_T I would suggest 1 4870. Less power and less hassle. Furthermore, not all games support CF. Some games will just run like 1 GPU only. Always better to have 1 single powerful GPU. |

Hmmm...i've this problem:
Sapphire 4850 VISTA 32-bit Ultimate Intel C2D E4500 Benq TW221 Monitor 22" LCD Sharp Aquos A3253M LCD TV The problem is whenever i try to run the catalyst driver 8.8, it'll just hang there with the circle spinnng ever since i connect the Sharp Aquos using HDMI connection. I still can use the Aquos as 2nd display but the can't do anything to the catalyst driver coz it won't work anymore. It was working fine when there is only the Benq LCD hooked to the DVI. The same system works fine in WinXP though. Anyone has same problem? |
