guys,

check the link below. new generation of intercooler that have its own dedicated power instead of using USB power.

so from all experience, do u think it going to help reduce the 3ROD issue? give comment.

from what i read, its quite an improvement from the last version. and where i can one if its proved worthy. GH can you bring the stock in??

should be nice, but the only thing is that it might obstruct the airflow of the xbox360 cooler, like the fan arent simutaneously drawing the same amount of air, it could be troublesome.

It won't. By making the airway smaller and airflow bigger, the pressure of airflow will be fast to be out. ( correct me if i'm wrong. My physics kinda karat alreardy )

in lame words " smaller hole + bigger airflow = high pressure of air trying to flow out. fast ( if the fan spinning rate is high )

Some can be. But most of it after 6 months constantly using ( which are good ones ), the dust collected in the fan reduce the spinning rate or even jam up. But this 1 use adapter which is quite good. But the sense of temp had to use the USB cable for the sensor.

Might get it but dunno how much it cost hmm.gif

OT : I got an intercooler but I took out the fan and try to wire it to adapter it works. But can anyone suggest me where can i get a 12v adapter? I'm using n3310 adapter just to test whether it will work or not laugh.gif ( dunno why I still kept it )

Im using the older version that draw the power from ac plug. So far so good for around 2yr+, waitin it to fakup my X360. It certainly draw more air out but you have to trade for the sound it make. Overall it is good.

i'm using the Evercool Xfan,

http://www.evercool.com.tw/products/xfan.htm

it's quite okay, and it's powered via the usb port, but i don't like the fact that it doesn't turn off by itself..

this new intercooler ts looks great though, if anybody knows who is selling it then i'm willing to buy it.

not sure whether these things really helped or not in the long run, but a reduction of a few degrees in temperature is better than nothing IMHO. i'm currently using both the fan stand and the xfan together rclxms.gif

IMHO the intercooler isn't that great, having a bunch of fans over another kind of makes things worse.

I have a 120mm case fan blowing cool air into the top of the box. It's connected to a fan header I installed into the xbox mobo. Now just need to mod my case to mount the fan tongue.gif Looks ugly as crap now:

i can't mod mine at all, as it's original and still under warranty. it's a hassle having all these fans without knowing if it actually helps, but in an aircon room, the fans does cool things down, but blowing in a heck lot of dust in the process.

it's all a matter of pros and cons really biggrin.gif

PLAYTIME shop is selling it at rm105, pretty cheap, consider it as a 'small' insurance against RROD.

PM arjunawong for details...
