not sure did i see it correctly... I was watching news at 8TV just now when they showed the police busted a pirated DVD and credit card fraud syndicate... they showed boxes of Final Fantasy 13 for XBOX360.....

Aya, earlier FFXIII is exclusive for PS3 mah and they oso said no planning to release Japanese version for Xbox360. Imagine if region free for Xbox360 FFXIII, then means Japan xbox user oso can import it to play on their machine lo.

But I have feeling that SE will release asia version FFXIII for xbox360, may be later call FFXIII International for both PS3 and xbox360. Haha, as I said b4, these "exclusive title" can become "all console title". Just like DMC4, VF5, Tekken and etc............haha

OMG dude I saw it too just now on TV3 Nightlines!So fast la wei pirate version comes in.But I suppose the tauke not know that even so its still cannot be played by modded console either haha.

Maybe it comes with 4th dvd containing necessary files and video guides on how to *region-change* your box

I already jumped into ps3.. seriously no regrets. Malaysia community (at least on lowyat) is much more lively. Just check on this xbox section of the forum. It's like a ghost town. One of the reason I moved is not just because of the game but because of community. It's more just more fun with more friend.

Alot of must play games for me.. eventhough ps3 lost some exclusive before such like FF XIII.. they still have many upcoming solid ones. Sony doing a pretty good job fighting back.

Anyhow.. I'm still keeping my xbox for Halo Reach. Havent heard any news of upcoming Gears of War 3 though. Would like to see a sequel.

Japanese don't understand English that well, so its pretty funny to even imagine them import US games where in Japan there are plenty of Japanese language games waiting for them

by looking at the mere 21GB of the X360 version of FF13.. compare to near 40GB of the other platform, who the hell in Japan would buy Xbox 360 version

for those said that Xbox 360 can install games, pls remember that there is one SKU, namely Arcade came without HDD, M$ have to be fair to everyone, thus they never place mandatory install for all Xbox 360 games, except maybe the classic FFXI

most probably ps3 had 100% ori players, xbox had like i dunno maybe 40%-55% ori player in malaysia?

Player from China & Hong Kong already done testing, confirmed the REGION FREE only for North America and Europe. For Japan and Asia machine, FFXIII can't run on it.

Yes... I have gone thru several websites and the game is indeed region locked for Asia... So there are only 4 options left:

1. get a PS3
2. modify your xbox360 (not to Sparrow, but something to do with kernel and hex, no idea on that) that can change region
3. get a XDK xbox360
4. continue praying that an Asian version will be announced....

Maybe got region hacked the DVD?? Like those DVD movies....
