i planning to get one master frm hsbc, thn another visa frm citibank.. only two..
might get a DA master frm CIMB for petrol..
yup i rarely shop at giant, petrol i dont wanna limit myself to shell (INCASE OF EMERGENCY) hence the cimb DA, or airasia.. lol.. tats why i am considering the clearcard.. but was wondering is it the true that the clearcard has got more discounts/redemption attributes?
thanks.
another thing. the credit limit.. who sets it? based on the income i am earning? i know the card type has somtin to do wit it.. but if two person has a gold card.. it varies still right?

citibank really am good at issuing cards. esp the one hour deal..
i got my clear card like in less thn two hours. but i couldnt collect it as i am working.. the point is thy really process it fast. the free gifts thy will send over to my place 3-4 weeks later..
hsbc.. i am not sure.. wats the earliest u guys got the card?
another thing.. i enquired how thy set the credit limit. its usually 2x or 3x the monthly income.. but whn i got my clear card. its barely 2x my salary.. its only 1.5.. is it becaue i did it through the one hour thing?so thy jus lower my CL?

Added on September 10, 2008, 5:43 pmmy friend doesnt hv any load and its his first CC.. similar to my case... stil dont understand how thy issue out the CL. is it safe to sign up wit M2U to do the payments? anyone did it bfr? how fast did the other bank received it?
thy are asking for all my CC details.. which i think its rather sensitive.. so i'd like to ask u guys first bfr i proceed..
plus thy need to verify my details bfr thy allow payment. and thy would sent a letter to my address for confirmation..
thanks.

U go shopping pay the money, the cashier just need to remember the 3-digit number on the back of the card.. After u left the shop they can take the receipt it shows all ur card number and expiry date (the receipt u got back wont show full number but the shop receipt still show, the one u signed) and with the 3-digit number they can use it to online purchasing already.. Usually it will be atleast 2 days...unless both party of the bank have some agreement/close. i think the merchant has also the last 4.. no reason thy need all the 16 digits.. anyways... my CL is very low.. hope it stays tat way.. so i wont exceed it and hopefully people see no reason it needs to be clone.. target all the platinum and gold members haha
