@widget,
Yeah.. I wanted to pay my house downpayment through CC but the developer wouldn't accept it *siGh*

@cute_boboi,
Yes Diners is probably less accepted in MY than Amex.  Anyhow, I was pretty surprised Crystal Jade doesn't accept Amex.  I would have expected a place like that to accept Amex too biggrin.gif

maybe they concern about CC fraud + reverse charge or whatever...especially with big amount

Does anyone agree with the 20-day interest free period for those who pay in full only ?

I, for one, TOTALLY AGREE with this move.
Credit Card is for convenience of not carrying cash... not to put you in debt.
*
by doing so they r increasing the debt even more

@dr2k3,
I think developers are just kedekut; they don't want to pay merchant fees hence don't allow payment through CC.

If we all started learning to use our CC facilities wisely, we wouldn't need to be running into debt biggrin.gif
*
true also......merchant fee....high amount = high fee

omg....the connection so SLOW!!!

my reply suppose to be in 1 post ~_~...let tinkerbel cut ~

can i ask wat will happen after kena late charge??

then my next cc bill no 20 days interest free period liao?
how can i cancel my eon cc?

i only get it for 2-3month.........dint reli use it anyway.........

the online banking service so slow for the cc........i oso dunno my office boy dint pay my cc bill  becoz they are slow at updating in online banking.......now kena late charge.......i afraid might effect my other cc...........

Added on August 18, 2008, 8:14 amcan anyone help about my situation?

will my eon cc late charge make my other cc oso no interest free period?

and wat it mean without the free period?

example now i swipe rm100.00 then the bill cum i hav to pay more then rm100 or how?quite confused...........
*
it wont affect other cc.....

no period means no 20 days free interest starting from the date of the bill
let say u swipe 100....u have 20 days of free interest period......thats mean if u pay within 20 days, u only need to pay 100

after 21 day pay then they started to charge u interest......if u bring forward the balance....the next swipe will no have free interest period

@TeraPox,
I think U wanted to check with Amex re the Longines promotion.

@David83,
The Amex Charge Cards do NOT have a CL.

@Reventon,
Unfortunately, the CL given to me on my Amex CC is considerably less than the RM50k U need.  Since you're an existing customer (thru their Charge Card) they might just  give U more since they would oredi have record of your existing spend pattern + payment records.
contradiction?

For HSBC....
these r the numbers for CC related

Gold and Classic: 1-300-88-1727 or 603-2054 8800
Visa Platinum: 1-800-88-7088 or 603-2054 9000
*
so when apply for a card....just take a form...fill it n send it back together with CC photocopy, ignore the payslip...despite of saying it need ur payslip on CC application form?

that's what i do everytime...

but i think it depends on individual...

eg: people like tinkerbel, whom has a great track record... dun even hav to send in the application..the bank will actually call up and offer her a card...  brows.gif
just submit the app form with the Copy of ur CC 1st, if the bank think that's not enough, they will call u and ask u to to fax in more supporting documents...

Not sure, i check from online lol.

This is my first card and my income definitely more than requirement

usually first card is harder to get than anything else...because bank like HSBC is very conservative.....they dont know ur spending and payment habit......

if u get alot card(with good payment) like terapox then i think HSBC should not be a problem to u
