Hi all,
Other than Citibank Plat, is there other cards that offer free use of lounge in KLIA? How about other airports?
Thanks.

QUOTE(andrekua @ Aug 19 2008, 03:19 PM) Just apply first la.. talk too much la. Hehehe, it was me. Actually I've asked them to upgrade my HSBC Classic Card but they said I need to apply for it so I just ask them to increase my credit limit, after a few month, they automatically increased it again for me. So now its around RM15KGold or no gold also same one lar. So what if gold card? You didnt even know classic card can easily get annual fee waived and yet credit limit can surpass some gold card. If I remember correctly, Tinkerbel (or was it Terapox?) has a HSBC classic card with 14k limit, and my own HSBC classic also 9.5k limit. Issit really necessary to have a gold card when classic card can reach this limit that you rarely used up. My salary is 3k per month subject to EPF deduction. So I dont think you really have an idea on about credit card approvals. Speaking of which, HSBC denied my application twice before when I was on 1.5k salary and only approved when I finally reach 2k salary. I havent used for a year and they already doubled my CL upon my request. Nothing is impossible. Just get a card and concentrate on it to gain a good limit. Then its easier to apply for a gold card elsewhere. I would rather to have a classic card than gold card because there is no advantage at all (unless using Shell card for example). QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 19 2008, 03:51 PM) @TeraPox, Actually I've tried to look for it but i can't find itI thought Amex Plat has that privilege too; at least @ KLIA - not sure if it's applicable other countries or not *grins* @bysquashy, U need to check the respective links of the respective card category; sometimes it's not stated but most of the time it is *smiles* @andrekua, Not me! I onli got RM12.5k on my HSBC CC but that's on a Gold. I do however know of people who gets about RM20k CL on their Citibank Clear Card [and Citibank CS tells me the Clear Card category has a max RM15k CL - what bullshit!] |

QUOTE(andrekua @ Aug 19 2008, 04:27 PM) Why do you need to apply for it? I'm not sure. When I ask them to upgrade, they said I need to go through the whole process of fill in the form lah, attach this lah that lah If they really want to upgrade, they will send you a new card. HSBC called me and offer me a GOLD card which I turned down. After Citi approved a shell gold card for me, now HSBC want to do the same. QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 19 2008, 04:34 PM) @andrekua, Woah, I don't have the time la........I definitely agree with U on ur last statement made @bysquashy, In that case perhaps U need to call them up one by one? *grins* QUOTE(Reventon @ Aug 19 2008, 05:10 PM) tinkerbel, People who have Centurion most probably is a public figure. As what i know based on malaysia , visa and mastercard has a limit up to approximately 300k a card no matter classic gold plat or even signature. If want even higher limit, then only AMEX charge card can give you that. The best card i think was Centurion (black card), but it's not available in malaysia la. Somemore the annual fee was a scary one, and need a annual usage of USD250k (Not too sure about exact amount). Application based on invitation among current Amex plat member. So anyone who chase for prestige, status symbol. this is the card you need lol. Haha. QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 19 2008, 06:41 PM) |

QUOTE(tgeoklin @ Oct 21 2008, 04:14 PM) Woh, then I guess we hit a brick wall as all cards has annual fees, just whether they are waived or not. To be eligible for waiver, will depends on citeria set by the respective financial institutions, which varies Ini manyak susah nih...... My usual spending is about RM3K/month so I guess I would met most of the waiver criteria. Lets do it another way, I'm applying Citi Plat and HSBC Gold. Do they have free access to KLIA lounge? |

QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Oct 22 2008, 08:05 AM) Use it every month to pay your utilities fees, then ask for fee waiver The thing is, would they ask you to pay for the annual fee even after you've cut it? Since they've charge you already |

QUOTE(wuahahaha @ Oct 23 2008, 09:48 AM) my card was loss, i use it at shopping mall and 4get to take back..... the bank tell me, the card had been used a few times..... Lodge a case and raise a dispute with the bank, good luck!u guys know wat happen to those transaction? i need to pay?? QUOTE(David83 @ Oct 23 2008, 10:05 AM) Yeap. They accept cards at the counter (Kedai Tenaga). Added on October 23, 2008, 10:06 am Negligence due to the cardholder. You have to pay for it. QUOTE(hye @ Oct 23 2008, 11:31 AM) Here's what likely to happen if you do the report My friend lost his card and he lodge a police report and filed in a dispute with the bank.- The bank will still ask you to pay because the authorised transactions occured before you reported your loss. Unfortunately, you are liable for it - read your card T&C and you'll see what I mean. - Can try your luck but bank will say that either they will suspend payment for the disputed transactions (best case) or they ask you to pay first and then claim once the culprit is caught. - Report to police and they will check the CCTV. If the CCTV capture is good and they haven't deleted the tape then maybe you can check but it'll probably take months before they can close the case. (Unless you are a VVVVIP) Conclusion - you can try but be prepared for a very long wait and there's a chance that you will still lose in the end. Eventually, he had to pay small amount of the bill only. |
