Just sign up at BM branch, don't have 0.1% / RM10 brokerage fee as advertised. It is now 0.24% / RM12.
*
Cannot be, I'm still trading at min. RM10 brokerage as of yesterday.

The screen below refers:

[attachmentid=3943949]

Could anyone please advise the difference between

Trust Account, and
Available Trading Limit

I supposed that Available Trading Limit would be the amount that may be used for trading,
but Trust Account?

I am using the Cash-Upfront modality.

*
Trust refers to actual current balance

But if u made some purchases/sales that have not been settled, it will be reflected in Trading Limit but not Trust.

E.g. u put in 10K
yesterday u bought some shares worth 3K
ur Trust today will still be 10K
but Trading Limit will be down to 7K+/-

Faham?

As for deposits...e.g. u depo RM10K today and informed Jupiter
They will update your Limit
But Trust will only be updated tomorrow when they have confirmed with bank your funds have cleared

Many thanks for the reply Sir,
much appreciated.

Please confirm if my understanding is correct:

Trust Account = x
Available Trading Limit = x + y
Sales Proceeds due (due today) = y

Is this understanding correct?

So basically, tomorrow my statement would be :

Trust Account = x + y
Available Trading Limit = x + y
Sales Proceeds due = n/a

I transferred rm4000 to my trading account via online bill payment. However my trading limit only rm3975.80. How much %do they charge to transfer money to our accounts?
*
Trading limit =/= available balance

If u want to withdraw tomorrow, u will get back RM4,000.

But they only allow u to buy up to RM3,975.80 to cover the charges.

To confirm, it is what's in the Trust Account,
regardless of what's in the Available Trading Limit, right ?
*
Yes, based on actual balance. But it should be calculated on daily rest basis, not on month-end balance.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Mind if I confirm on the below calculations ?

Say, I have 1k in the Trust Account, and I have not made buy/sell for this month.
i.e the 1k is balance brought forward from last month.

So, the calculation is 1k x 1.8% = RM18. Correct ?
Alright, if my account is zilch, aka zero.
And I added in my Trust Account at 25th for 1k.

How would the calculation for the month be ?

Is it;

[1] 1k x 1.8% = RM18, or
[2] 1k x 1.8% x 6/30, as the money is in the trust account for six days only ?
*
1.8% PER MONTH? In your wet dreams! laugh.gif

[1] RM1K x 1.8% x 1/12 lar tongue.gif
[2] Correct but have to apportion by 1/12

so trading online with jupiter, there's no remisier/dealer?
For me so far I never use any remisier/dealer service...
*
Why would u want a dealer?

Trading can be done:
(1) Smartphone - Android or Apple also can
(2) PC/laptop

Any issues, like withdrawal or deposit of cash, just call Customer Service.

Jupiter every day at website got market review/report and also trading ideas, sometimes also got company quarterly results review.

Unless u are the type who like to goring shares based on "hot tips", I don't see any need for personal interaction with a dealer. But then again, if u need personal attention from a dealer, the brokerage charges also different already brows.gif

*
