Yes, the screen is foc. I personally asked another 1 free for my N82
The OS is the same as N96 but of course it runs smoother and faster on Innov8 cause the hardware platform is better. |

Let see how the battery hold.
Regarding the sync. software, it performs exactly like Nokia suite, hack, even they look a lot the same. From the initial operation and performance, i can see that it is very stable with no hiccup so far. |

True, cause it still new. Let see if i could dig up something that i don't like in day or two.
So far, the optical "mouse" is very good and friendly to use. I get use to it so quickly that i think its a must have for all other phone. Price is still ok lar compare to my ex-ex-phone, Dopod u1000(RM4200). Will try to install some software tomorrow to see how compatible it is. The UI is very responsive, fast and smooth. The time taken to store in the picture is really fast as well. Just under 2s for a 8MP photo, impressive.

Nope, only 1 battery and the USB is working perfectly, i mean charging. In fact, there are no other way you can charge the phone beside USB.
The standard package is....well, pretty standard. 1 power charger, USB cable for data sync., a CD, 1 simple user guide, earphone, extra ear piece and the phone itself. Oh, before i forget, the 8G sandisk microSD. |

Well, for saving a 2M photo file size in under 2s, imho is quite impressive. As for the compression, the picture is there, check it up yourself.
I restarted my unit but GarminXT still refuse to run, guess need to wait for newer release then. |

QUOTE(dgtel2 @ Oct 5 2008, 12:45 PM) Ummm... i meant does the unit charges while connected to laptop/PC via USB? This function is vital when we use the unit as 3G/HSDPA connection. I know what you mean and of course this phone is chargeable thru. PC/laptop USB port.Anyways, there are lots of youtube stuff on i8510. Very good UI but abit "messy". Regarding the GPS function, there should be some tweaks to make it work to all Symbian OS phones. COM port settings is essential to make the GPS working well. Have you tried to set the COM port to COM8 or COM1....? I know the port is important for the software to connect to the GPS module. The problem now is it shut down totally before you can do any setting on it |

Some how i don't think it is a memory leak problem. The phone remain very responsive after the program terminate itself. A normal memory leak will slow your phone down, eventually you have to reset the phone.

Agreed, it should be compatibility issue. The one comes with Innov8 is called GPS+ which i'm not familiar with, beside it needs to download GPS data(valid only for 7 days) from web. I would prefer GarminXT anytime.

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Oct 6 2008, 08:46 PM) Hi chtan, No. It just stays blank.May i know when our phone is inactive, does the screen show any clock just like Nokia symbian phones? Here are some extreme shots i took last night. Even though the photo look quite bright but the actual environment is really dark. I purposely switched off all the light. Only night mode was selected, nothing else: ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by chtan: Oct 10 2008, 09:26 AM |

I think i might be able beat that shot cause there a tons of option for me to tweak, but at the moment i just use the basic auto-setting.
Um...i should start to look for a high ground then.... |

The battery can surely last for 3days for me but i am just a light user, a couple photo snapping, no fancy movie watching, gaming or listen to music. If you're heavy on that, i think it should lasted your for 1.5 to 2 days.
