Hello Everybody.. icon_question.gif

I wanna downgrade Bios from 1504 to 1303.

My Rig:

Asus Striker Extreme Mobo with current bios : 1504 ver
E6600 Processor
MSI 8800GTS X 2 SLI
Nvidia OCZ ready RAM 2 X 1GB at 800Mhz

750Watt Acbel Modular PSU

I have tried 3 methods to downgrade but cannot.

1. Use Asus Update In Live Window or Window XP mode
2. EZ Flash in Bios. Bios Mode use USB Thumb drive
3. Use Floopy in DOS Mode

The system wont allow to do so after flash..... sweat.gif

Actually i wanna OC to 3.6 Ghz...currently managed to do 3.3 Ghz.
Most of Over Clockers around the world are using 1303 ver of BIOS

Thx

Not sure about your mobo but I have tried it b4 using method 2(EZ flash using thumb drive) for Asus Striker II Formula mobo, done succesfully and no problem... and I have tried method number 1 too.. it can't be used for downgrading

why not simply just overwrite your new bios with an older one.. unless your asus is a lot more complicated than that.. coz u can definitely overwrite bioses since its Prom..

kekeke...
u need the PLL voltage and gtl to 0.67 for 65nm quaddies..and the NB voltages are higher for quaddies..
not going to waste my time arguing with u..

fsb terminationa at 1.62?? did u know y many ppl screw up their mobos??
cause they dont know whats gtls and fsb termination voltage..

Actually, I managed to use 0.59x for Q6600 G0. So, it is not necessary to use 0.67. During the P5K Deluxe time, I am using 0.63x. So, I am not sure your settings and understanding. I just not arguing with you on this matter.

1.62 still ok provided not orthos 7 days non-stop. 1.64 on wards is very dangerous for 24/7 use.

I agree with you on this matter that peoples might not understand this gtl and fsb termination voltage. Hopes people over here use it with your own risk. Don't push your motherboard over limit.

certain bios for asus when u upgrade writes certain parts of the eprom protected part..
especially with new settings..
after than downgrade via easy flash or the normal afudos is impossible

thats y..
u need engineering afudos..

the afudos thats provided with the cd.. u cannot disable the write protect..
same principle when ppl flash their maximus to rampage..
