I still have faith on him. It takes time for a person to recover from such a big loss. And Federer is a mortal human and he too needs a long break. Maybe this year isn't his year but i have confidence that he will come back next year, stronger and better than what he is doing now.

And this year hasn't ended yet. I would be happy if he wins US Open or Olympics or Masters Cup.

If things continue to turn back for Federer, i would rather him having a long break after this season.. then prepare for next season. Instead of all these meaningless exhibitions. =(

I have to say this even i'm a Federer fan.

Nadal is 22. Djokovic is 21 if i'm not mistaken.

Well, one can't keep winning all the time right? Federer just needs a break. Lets see how he perform next week before making a conclusion.

Well, i don't think its a physical problem. Its more about confidence. Mental strength is so important in tennis.

See Nadal. He's so confident after French Open.. thats why he always plays well on grass after his win in French Open. And now he's even more confident after winning Wimbledon.. Looks like he will have a good hardcourt season.

There are many talks about Federer losing his motivation.. He doesn't look like he wants to be a champion anymore. Lets hope its not true..

Hope Murray can beat Djokovic. =) I prefer Murray over Djokovic.

Cilic from Croatia beat Roddick yesterday. Lolz.

Today's Schedule
QUOTE
Centre Court - 11PM
Gilles Simon vs Marin Cilic
Nicolas Kiefer vs James Blake

Not before 7AM
Novak Djokovic vs Andy Murray
Rafael Nadal vs Richard Gasquet
Enjoy!

I seriously don't think its anything related to the physique yet.
Its more about the confidence, the fact he lost in Australian Open... then the mono virus thing.. And also now losing in Wimbledon. Thats harsh for any players.

Nice match so far between Murray and Djokovic. Murray won the first set =)

Djokovic lost the tie breaker in 2nd. Hmm, Djokovic's drop shots aren't working for him today though. Murray defended really well, and played well overall in my opinion biggrin.gif. Time to watch the world no.2 play.

Yeah, i do agree that Murray played very well. I hope he plays as well as he played today tomorrow against either Nadal or Gasquet. smile.gif smile.gif

Gasquet must use his great backhand nicely. smile.gif

Yeah, excellent match so far. Super tie breaker. Credits to Gasquet for not being down when he wasted all those chances (backhand @.@) smile.gif smile.gif

Another upset in making? We shall see how Gasquet can hold off Nadal. Nadal never give up as we always know. Haha.

Really missing Federer now. sad.gif sad.gif

Haha. Nice win by Nadal. I think after the long first set, Gasquet got abit tired and lost his concentration. Thats the strength of Nadal. He can play at the same level the whole match and focus... smile.gif smile.gif

At the end i think Nadal deserves to win.

He will face Murray who beat Djokovic in straight sets today.

I definitely think Murray can beat Nadal tomorrow. The way he played its just incredible. But he has to make sure he serves well throughout the match and not like Gasquet who faded out after the big win in 1st set. (Clearly shown that Gasquet is not fit enough)

Women's tennis? You can watch it in Eurosport. They are showing the final of East West Bank Classics in Monday morning 5AM. smile.gif
Jankovic still in contention. She's against Safina in the semifinals.

Federer better start playing well next week. A win in Olympic may save his No.1 ranking. We shall see what will happen very soon.

Nearly as much as a Masters Series.

Ouch, Murray played so well getting into tie break then wasted chances. Sighz.

so whoever win the point mean he can keep that point for 4 year right,no need to defend that point next year laugh.gif

1 year only gua...

Nice victory by Nadal. Its really hard for any players to keep up their standard against Nadal in 3 sets. They may be able to win 1 set then just fade away after it. Credits to Nadal. He's the most consistent player in the tour now.

Jankovic lost to Safina. No No.1 for her this week.

Actually no. Federer has himself to blame for losing the No.1. But even if i don't support Federer, i don't really like Nadal's playing style. smile.gif

I hope Kiefer can at least give a good fight. Not so nice for a final match to end too quickly. smile.gif

I think the system is work like this...

let say the winner will get 500 points
runner-up 300 points...
semi-finalists 150 points...

so if last year winner...but this year he lose in the semi-final...
so the 350 points (500-150) he won last year will be deducted...

with same theory...
the semi-finalist last year...but he manage to win the tournament this year...
350 points (500-150) will be added to him...
I also noob only...
hopefully didn't mislead you... tongue.gif
*
You are absolutely right. But this year the points won't be deducted until the early August because the tournament has been shifted to this earlier date due to Olympics. smile.gif

So Nadal did win the tournament. Easily in the final.

Nothing much to say. His hardest match seem to be against Gasquet and Murray but surely not Kiefer.

Tennis action continues in Cincinnati Masters this week.

Nadal is going to take Cincinnati too then the US Open.
I see him capturing a career grand slam in the future!
*
Actually even Nadal is playing very well now, i don't see him winning the US Open. He may win Australian Open (seeing how slow the surface is), but he won't win US Open if the court continues to stay fast.

Hardcourt is just too harsh for his body. He can get into latter stages, but if he plays a long match, his body will find it hard to recover from it.. and Grand Slam is best of 5, which explains why he still can't win a hardcourt grand slam yet.

Today's Schedule
QUOTE
CENTER COURT start 11:00 pm
[11] R Gasquet (FRA) vs M Llodra (FRA)
J Tipsarevic (SRB) vs C Moya (ESP)
[1] R Federer (SUI) vs R Ginepri (USA)
Not Before 7:00 am
P Kohlschreiber (GER) vs [6] A Roddick (USA)

Here's the schedule for today. Roddick will be playing agaisnt Kohlschreiber (who beat him in 5 sets in Australian Open) and Federer will be playing against Ginepri. smile.gif

Can't wait to watch Federer in action!
