anyway, i've got my accomodation sorted, opted for Shinjuku since i'll be in Roppongi for 5 days
now another question (pardon my ignorance/noob-ness), how to travel around tokyo? any pass that let you roam around JR and other lines?
i dun quite like the idea of having to buy a ticket everytime i wan to travel around

Several things to do while you are at Mt Fuji:
- Snap pictures and videos (bring extra battery and memory storage devices if you want).
- Take a rock sample from Mt Fuji high places. It was an active volcano a long time ago, so just take the rocks as a free souvenir.
- Write a postcard message and send it back to your house address. It's your official proof that you had been to Mt Fuji (there's a post office there).

if the rate is per day then its expensive...planning to rent for a month..

its all premium food, dont expect to find it on discounts.... ive been here for more than 2 years and ive yet to eat those beef. i think u can only find kumamoto horse meat in kumamoto ( or at a ++premium in tokyo). uni uni... u can get it around even at 105 yen kaiten sushi shops but dont expect it to be good. u pay for what u get.

if im not mistaken, kobe beef is at least 3000yen but thts in kobe... tokyo would be more expensive.. dont be surprised to see a 10,000yen price tag on it.

yeah... and most supermarkets dont even sell steaks.. sigh..

U would not wan to know where lar... michelin .. unless u r the type who fly first class to japan... hahaha

AirAsia aims to fly to Japan next year

TOKYO: Visiting AirAsia chief executive officer Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes said yesterday the Kuala Lumpur-based discount airline intends to launch flight services to Japan in 2009, Jiji Press reported.

Fernandes told a press conference here that the Japanese market has enormous potential, adding that AirAsia hopes to help increase the number of Malaysian tourists to Japan.

The firm appears to be planning to set airfares for its Japan-bound flights at 50 to 60 per cent lower than those offered by major airlines.

To celebrate the launch of Japan flights, AirAsia plans to offer US25 one-way tickets for flights between Japan and Malaysia.
AirAsia is considering launching flights to Tokyo International Airport at Haneda and an airport now under construction in Ibaraki Prefecture, northeast of Tokyo.

The company also hopes to start services to such major Japanese cities as Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka in the future.
