From --> http://shrine.lowyat.net/2008/11/21/jump-f...et-75-december/ ![]() Event: JUMP Festa 2009 Official Website: http://www.jumpfesta.com/ Date: 20/12/2008 - 21/12/2008 Location: Makuhari Messe, Chiba Sauce: http://www.jumpfesta.com/stage/dragonball.html QUOTE Japan's Jump Festa to Preview Dragonball Film Footage Shueisha will be previewing footage from James Wong and 20th Century Fox's live-action film adaptation of Akira Toriyama's Dragonball fighting manga at its annual Jump Festa event on December 20. The footage will be shown during a special Dragonball stage panel from 1:20 to 1:50 p.m. at the Makuhari Messe convention complex east of Tokyo. However, the special footage will only take up a small portion of the panel's entire 30-minute length; the rest of the panel will introduce special guests from the film for a live discussion. Attendees who come early enough to get seats will receive a Medicom Bearbrick — a toy figure shaped like bear dressed in the orange gi uniform of Dragonball's hero Son Goku (Justin Chatwin). The film will open in Japan on March 13 and in North America on April 8. As it usually does every year, the two-day event will feature 30- to 50-minute stage events for other manga titles in Shonen Jump magazine. The Prince of Tennis manga creator Takeshi Konomi, Bleach's Tite Kubo, One Piece's Eiichiro Oda, Naruto's Masashi Kishimoto, and Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar's Kyosuke Usuta will all appear at the panels for their respective manga creations. Reborn! and Gintama will have panels, but their creators are not scheduled to appear. The main actors from each of these manga titles' anime and musical adaptations will also appear at the panels. ====================== ![]() Event: Comiket 75 Official Website: http://www.comiket.co.jp/index_e.html Date: 28/12/2008 - 30/12/2008 Location: Tokyo Big Sight, Odaiba Island ====================== As every year, my advise will be: You have exactly ONE MONTH to save up & fly here to attend these awesome end-year events |

Okok I'll let it slide this time; was just teasing the fella kekekeke
Here's the result if you search for 'from tokyo to okinawa': http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=of...awa&btnG=Search ![]() As you can see from the first result, there are already available flights by cost of US$854 from Haneda Airport (Tokyo) to Naha Airport (Okinawa). It should fly from Haneda Airport, not Narita Airport (think of Haneda as Subang Airport for local flights, and Narita like KLIA) There are no ways to drive or walk to Okinawa from Tokyo, because Okinawa is an island. I've never known of any ships or ferries that go there, maybe they exist, maybe they don't. What I do know is that majority of visitors going there would take a plane from Haneda Airport. As always, swimming is optional In summary (from the 2nd result there): QUOTE From Narita Airport to Haneda Airport In principle, Narita airport is reserved for international flights while Haneda for internal ones excepting for some ones. If you wish to continue your trip up to Kyushu or Okinawa by plane, take a shuttle or a train "Airport Limited Express" in the underground of airport building. If you wish to stay some days at Tokyo, take a train "Narita Express" which serves Tokyo and Shinjuku stations while "Keisei Sky Liner" serves Ueno station. You can also choose "Limousine Bus" which serves the main districts of Tokyo. Finally, if you prefer to get to Fukuoka by train, first go to Tokyo station with "Narita Express" then take a bullet train there (5 hours of trip). Be aware, you will find rarely a direct train up to Fukuoka. Otherwise you have to change it at Osaka. ======================= How to get to Nago city on Okinawa Since the town is located on Okinawa island, you can get there only by plane. If you are in Tokyo, take an internal flight at Haneda airport. If you are in Osaka, take an internal flight at Itami airport. If you are already in Miyazaki, try rather to go to Okinawa via Fukuoka, for there are few flights to Okinawa from Miyazaki airport. Once, you are at Naha airport located in the south of Okinawa island, go up to the north by taking a short section of expressway. The town is located at the end. |

My Japanese was never good to be honest, still struggling.
However, if someone were to come here for the purpose of learning (not working or studying other things), should probably take 1 month or less. |

QUOTE(clemong_888 @ Nov 24 2008, 08:53 AM) it has to be a non-japanese company right? and that i mean like hp,ge,activision and so on. It depends. In the games industry, yes its true that most non-Japanese games companies speaks more English, depending on each department. Marketing will definitely speaks dual language. But for technical departments, most are English and Japanese mix. Outside games industry, besides other jobs, the one industry I know that have English environment is that if you are an English language teacher. And as everyone here knows, teaching English in Japan is a big industry with big Yen return, and if you are smart, you can do more on your own besides just in the school. And that's why its a common knowledge here that not all American/Europeans that came here are working in top jobs. Even as a simple English teacher, you can live a comfortable life in Tokyo |

Its just normal procedure to visit countries that requires visa.
And I don't think its complicated at all. Go to bank, get bank statement. Go to office, take employment letter. As long as you have all the requirements AND you didn't commit any serious offense before, should be fine. If you go to apply without enough requirements, instead of rejecting, they will just tell you to go back and come back later with full requirements |

Yup, flight itinerary is enough for make a visa, don't make the ticket first.
In a sense, give them a call (from the number in their website there) if there are something that you are unsure of |

QUOTE(zoakies @ Nov 24 2008, 06:07 PM) I submitted mine TODAY...by Wednesday should able to know can get or not. i am going there on end-January 2009. Booked thru MAS also. Dirt cheap airfare. Can, don't worry, just normal visa application What i submitted to my travel agent are: 1) CONFIRM flight ticket (Go and coming back, of course) 2) Original Bank Statement (luckily still got more than RM 10k) 3) Company Letter (Issued from my company, stated there i am working as a ...... and salary of RM....) 4) Itenary from travel agencies (ask them simply taruh only) - coz i am going there as free and easy 5) Passport size photo (1 keping) 6) AND last but not least, RM 40 for the runner fees to submit for us in Japan Embassy. I think thats all....wish me luck guys!! QUOTE(deathbringer @ Nov 24 2008, 06:11 PM) thank you all for the info. Yup, just print out the flight details, or better still, ask MAS for the flight itinerary supernothing, u sure u can just show them ur credit card statements or something instead of ur bank statement? if so, i'm on the very safe side. coz my bank statement is in not such a good state. so on the itinerary, i just list down my "unconfirmed" plans for the day and my "unconfirmed" place of stay? so can i print out the flight deails from the MAS website and hand it to them? sorry guys for asking so many questions. i'm bringing my wife there for a short honeymoon and don't want anything to go wrong. |
