Product Description:

~ 3M™ Thermally Conductive Adhesive Transfer Tapes 9885 is designed to provide a preferential heat transfer
path between heat-generating components and heat sinks or other cooling devices (e.g., fans, heat spreaders or heat pipes).

Product Description:

~ 3M™ Thermally Conductive Acrylic Interface Pad 5590H is soft and acrylic based pad. Because of its
softness, Interface Pad 5590H can decrease the load to integrated circuit chips during compression, and
has good tack to many surfaces. These properties lead to a high performance non-silicone based
thermal pad with excellent durability for long term thermal conductivity and electric insulation stability.
Suitable for use on electronic chipsets (i.e. processor, gpu, ram sinks, ram heat spreader etc.)
~ Thickness: 1.5mm
~ Single sided stick

Max. Temperature (Full Load):105 degree Celcius (Overheated)




After Replacing Old Thermal Pad with New 3M Thermal Pad and Applying New Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra Thermal Grease on ASUS GTX295:
Max. Temperature (Full Load):83 degree Celcius (Temperature Reduced by 22 degree Celcius)

Instruction for use:
Apply firm force to press the tape when you stick on appropriate material/heatsink surface so that it sticks firmly on the surface.
Force should be applied continuously for about 10 seconds or more for maximum adhesive contact.

Added on July 14, 2008, 9:40 pmHi fren, as interpreted by the name, 3M thermal tape is double-sided thermal tape, whereas thermal compound is a grease like compound which is not so sticky as compared 2 thermal tape... to stick or hold heatsink, i do think that thermal tape will be more suitable... btw wat is ur intended usage?

Hi fren, no, its not hard 2 remove.... very convenient 2 use, long lasting too.... both sides of this tape can stick, so u can use it 2 stick 2 surface/parts... as for thermal grease, u cant stick anything with it...

normally we choose either Thermal Tape (stick 2 sided, no need any clip), Thermal pad (stick 1 sided, need clip) or Thermal Grease (no stick,need clip)

Hi fren, no no no, it is not recommended to apply thermal paste or any other thing...

Jz use the thermal tape alone.... and plz ensure that both substrate surfaces are clean and dry prior to tape application...
