Hmm,benefits of using full tower :

-easy to hide cables
-bigger space for WC
-Air ventilations are better.

no CM690 is considered as mid tower.

even my bigger Lian Li PC-A10 is considered as a mid tower.

nice server casing anyway.i have one lying around and too bad i cant close my sidepanel if im using the casing.

@ocz,no money to get full tower nor i have a need for it.When i join,i guess will be a V2k with ss phase build in .But for now,i feel i prefer mid tower and the price of it.Full tower look weird to me.

Here are the square side panel for the window.I decided to cut it a bit only to hide those power supply.

The back part is a bit hard to put 120mm fans because the space left are only 120mm,so i am afraid i cut it more than 120mm then i will look ugly.

yo bro nice mod i am a newbie here...

how u cut that hole with nice curve and wat tool u use because i also wan to mod my Thermaltake Shark .....

All right,here's how :

1- You need a jigsaw,drill,masking tape,sand paper and filing tools.

2- You apply the masking taped on the surface you want to cut.

3- Draw a line / measurement.

4- Drill a small hole where you can insert the jigsaw cutter inside it.

5- Start to cut all the way by using a jigsaw.

6- Do some filing to make the edge smoother.

7- You're done.Good luck.

Well,you need to do more cable managements by yourself.

If i were you,i will cover up the psu with something like aluminum or plexy.

after sent to ian, saw his style again, learn something more again,hehe


btw i take the picture with the side panel taken off
its being cut now by ianho

so when the panel is in, outside wont see the PSU d.....coz the window only see above the tray of the PSU nia

btw, just found out that my casing seems not enough place to put the radiator inside the case :'( :'(

an advantage of having full tower cases is that you can 'design' the way the air flows inside the case.. because its less likely to have terbulance or swirling air inside it. like a chimney. hehe.. and that is bad for a case with poor exhaust systems..

hahahah yea bro white makes this casing look verry old skool...im already try to mod this giant....hope its will be more nice will post the pic after done the mod ...thinking to do a minor mod only its becoz im not a pro moder just a beginner

do u guys think full tower is a necessary or accessory?coz i think it like jus necessary for people with many hardware inside but now...i rather think its like a necessity when hardware are becoming bigger and longer which promote heat if put in small spaces..what do u guys think?

Thermaltake Armor...
actualy i use this case with thermaltake big water cooling systems but after 2 years i used the cooling system than i gave up...
maintainence fee 4 water cooling system is too expensive coz the coolant will turns dirty n stuck the pipes, that i hv 2 change the coolant and the pipes frequently...
i had change the pump 2 times because the pump burnt cause by the blockage of the dirty coolant in pipes, and spent me a lot of $$ 2 buy better pump...
i changed the processor's water block 1 times coz of the overheat of the processor makes the water block breaks as the coolant cannot flow normally through the water block due to the blockage and the burnt of the pump...
now i oledi study in university that i don hv much time to maintain the water cooling system so i changed back 2 processor fan...
i had used gigabyte mb ga-g1975x so i also use gigabyte processor fan but 3 month b4 i changed 2 gigabyte p5q deluxe mb...

y not using black dvd rom lor?

the above two, which is a cd rom n a cd burner i had oledi sprayed wif silver colour to match my previous silver case n i dont want to sprayed the panel black again coz many works hv to do to respray the panel n my spraying skills not pro enof...
the below one, the dvd burner, the black panel which comes 2gether wif the dvd burner was too common, almost the same as the above cdrom n cdburner. only the ori white attached on it has more sprcial tray faceplate(semitransparent silver)...
all the led light 4 the cdrom and the dvd burner i had changed into blue led...
4 cd burner is twin light, when reading cd is blue, when burning is red...

nice big casing u got there , but i think you need some cable management for your rig.

10q 4 ur advice...
but there is a problem...
the cables from PSU are all so big and hard to bend(coz i m using Enermax Liberty DXX620W model: ELT620AWT )...
i oledi drill some holes at the metal plate(where the mb was screwed on) and use cabel tie to tie all the cabels from the PSU onto it...
i dont want to change the cabels coz the cabel is better(in my opinion). i get the PSU 4 so much $$$ n if the cabels included was low quality than i will drill the PSU n cut n kick n punch n throw n smash n burn n bomb..."KaBoom!!!!!!"... satisfied n go find a better PSU ...
i cannot tie the IDE cabel (at my cd burner n dvd burner) coz i put one 12cm fan at the middle to blow the air 2wards my rams n processor(2 make the air sirculation better)... i can notice a better heat lost from processor n mb after i add the fan ...

i just painted my internal case black 2 layers or flat black

should i paint one layer of clear coat?

coz the paint easily strips lo damn it

oh and i plan to mod a side panel on my HAF 932 too

any idea where i can get side panel?? any forumer selling?

IIRC, there's some1 spraying his internal with flat black.. then he apply clear coat.. the paint become gloss/shiny.. cuz of the clear coat..


u can try ask at garage sales..

the DVDrom color different than casing....kinda spoils the look.... i know CM has the alu bezel....but their bezel like shit la

one of the reasons i prefer lian li.... their bezels are damn nice and helps maintain the clean exterior look.

but if the lian li bezel can fit into the ATCS 840......
