I think you need to make a good tie at the tuning peg and the bridge to stay in tune better. And in my limited experience, nylons seems to take more time to stay in tune after string changes.

Nylons are really lembik mahh..nothing wrong with that biggrin.gif

Want an axe?

I'm budgeting RM5k for my next axe. Either an RR24 or RR-TN02, i'll flip a coin when i have the cash. A huge jump from my first RG which cost RM1.5k. Its all about how much you're willing to spend on quality. Remember, with a higher price comes higher quality.

Again, it's based on your needs. Does that 5k justify your needs for THAT guitar? I wanted the Herman Li Signature Egen, but 11k does NOT justify the needs. But a 5k guitar that is well made, plays like a dream and will last you forever might be more worth it. FYI, I don't have an endless bank account. If I did, you'd see Gibsons and Vintage Marshalls lining up my room already.

Me? I bought the Razorback because I needed a killer guitar that will make people forget I can't play guitar tongue.gif

1 noob question, what are the basic effects that a beginner should get? I've already had Boss DS-2, SD-1 and plan to get a MT-2 real soon. Anything i should get next?

I never said "The ONE"...... I said "last you forever", by that I mean you'll still play it say 10 years from now.

But even I agree there can never be THE ONE for us GASers. tongue.gif

And IpohBoY, like ever say, a Chorus and Delay is pretty important, but I would say go for a Wah! If you're a rock or metal player, you'll almost certainly need a good wah. The dunlop GCB-95 is a good place to start.

On a side note: I have been listening and watching...... but mostly watching..... an unhealthy amount of Paramore..... What can I say...... Orange haired chicks are hot.

Side Note Number 2: Does anybody know where I can commission a custom Acoustic Guitar? Doesn't have to be THAT fantastic..... but I want a custom one for my dad's birthday as I kind of Broke his first acoustic when I was 13 tongue.gif......

Wow, you're a lucky beginner. When most of us started, we only had enough money to get 1 effect and that was it for the next 4-5 years!

To be honest, I had a good collection of effects before but ever since I got a better amp, the only one I use is the CH1 Chorus. Nothing beats the tone of a fantastic amp, with a good reverb and a touch of chorus for clean lines -> e.g. Strat into a Fender HotRod Deluxe + a touch of chorus - ala SRV!

So, my suggestion is to save your money and get a decent amp and a better axe. Good luck!
