Center cone is the cone they put in the eentre of the rim, where there is a empty space between the rim hole, this is to make the wheel more stable especially when driving in high speed.

Stainless steel tube (or valve?) is just the tube with cap which is for pumping air into the tyre, coz stock one is rubber and cannot fit into the new rim.

The price is RM120~150/set for cone and RM30/set for tube, nuts also range from RM80~RM150/set depends on quality.

Hope this help you out.

guys i've visit some wheel shop and i saw those new rim come with Black Chrome/ Chrome colour. They look good but

Are those Chrome/Black Chrome paint on the RIM wear n tear can last long?

small Stones hit on those paint will easily peal off? Any Chome/Black Chrome RIM users here can give some pro n cons using it?

high powered car need big brakes to stop them...hence the big wheels....and also for performance and traction purpose ( involve RnD for the correct size of rims and tyres)...

guys..

i'm eyeing a set of Advanti 15" rims the Ultra Light Weight series.... but the salesman told me that the Ultyra Lightweight rims are prone or easily bengkok when hit potholes even if i'm using thos 60 series tyres... can anyone confirm this?

i was thinking to use this (ULW) Ultra Light Weight rims with tyres 195/55/15.. any problem? torn between dunlop or Falken Ziex...

thanks in advance....

try out Toyo T1R, Michelin PP2, Yokohama S Drive, BS RE001... for more handling oriented...
Hankook V12 give u something in the middle, it's performance will be around 80%~90% off that group above... but it's braking distance is 1 of the best...
for Comfort you have Michelin Primacy LC, Falken 912, Yokohama C Drive, Toyo DRB...

cheapest among these tires is Hankook V12 and also Falken 912... should not more than RM200/pc... smile.gif

Dunlop... Zzzzz.... better skip it la...

BTW the rim do u think you will go thru rough rough terrain and u still go fast and hit potholes purposely???
individual preference... my fren's Enkie Lightweight still fine after 5 yrs... now duno... coz 3 yrs ago he change car give to her bro already...

thanks for the thought... biggrin.gif

i guess i'll skip Dunlop then... biggrin.gif
he did offer me some GoodYear tires while adding around rm10-20 a piece as oppose to the DUnlop tires..

what about those Maxxis Tires any good? refer picture below..

hmm also a nice thought on lightweight rims..

of course not purposely go into potholes and rough terrain..
i guess it would be ok if i stick to it.. since i think the thickness of the tires would help protect the rims as well (since i'm going to go with either 55/60 series tires)

and this is the rims i'm eyeing.. brows.gif

wat car u drive?? erm... this design will look smaller if u compare with the rim behind it... i think tat will look greater than this... juz my opinion... those offset/deeper bit rim, u have to take bigger like 17'' above only nice... coz 15'' look small since it got the offset.... juz share my opinion here

bro try Hankook V12... comfort + performance... smile.gif of course cannot compare with BS RE001's corner traction, Michelin PP2's wet grip... but it has an outstanding braking distance result vs all others... smile.gif Refer to this link... smile.gif
Maxxis i duno never try as no one wanna be white mice... u can??? brows.gif
don really trust those in wet traction especially... so far... Hankook V12, and Federal 595 has good feedback from user for Cheap and Good tire... especially V12 almost out of stock in Klang Valley becoz of AW Forum hot topic on this tire...

me only will be driving Vios J Manual.
you're right..
the rims behind it also nice.. but that is damn heavy (maybe because i'm comparing it with the Advanti)
and also true that the design with no "lip" will make the rims looks bigger as suppose to the actual size.
17" is already out of my league since i'm looking for more towards saving FC & comfort and not too noisy.. and also the tires for 17" also very expensive already for my budget biggrin.gif

thanks for the thought anyway...

BTW the advanti i saw the offset behind the rims it say 38...

thanks for the reply micheal, i also heard about this Hankook, will ask if they have this tire or not... if i 'm going for 195/55/15 of the Hankookv12 tires.. is there any issue of noisy coming from it? from the review you posted above, it say the only weakness is the limited comfort... noisy?

thanks again for the thought and opinion.. notworthy.gif

wait... urs is Vios... ok... this offer u comfort... this is the combination u have as Dugong has softer suspension setup... if you look to improve handling please try Michelin PP2 u can get 185/55 (RM220) or 195/55 (RM240)... ur choice...
Michelin PP2 will have harsher ride compare to V12 but it compensate the soft suspension setup in the Dugong to get more feedback to ur steering... if you did not drive aggressively then Hankook V12 is ok for you... but sure Michelin PP2 is a bit quieter than Hankook V12 because of V12 is directional thread and PP2 is Asymmetric thread... for ur case the car's noise insulation is not that good so V12 noise might be more noticeable... but still better than some the others tires available... of course again this is we cannot compare with down to earth comfort tires like Michelin Primacy LC, BS Turanza AR10, Continental CC-1, Falken 912, Toyo DRB, Yokohama C Drive or others...
FYI Hankook V12 is similar categories as Yokohama S Drive, Toyo T1R, BS RE001 Michelin PP2... and some others...
budget vs performance wise i'll go for V12 priced around RM190 for 195/55 R15... but the stock is quite limited... try to ask Klang's Ban Hooi if they have any on hand if you can't find it here in PJ or KL

WTA: saga blm stock rim/tyre change from 185/60/14 to 195/60/14 can or not? looking for comfy quiet ride, price is nvm as i think tyres are the most important for car.

my brand/model interested in: Bridgestone Turanza AR10, Michelin Primacy LC, Goodyear Assurance.
