Great!
Gald to hear that. Would love to see some progress photos. Pls add me in msn so i can know their updates. Yea, it's a good thing. They will only poo in green when they r really stressed out. They do sleep a lot. At least the father do. lol! when they r still with me, they r still feeding, so most of the time eat n sleep. Try this, switch off all the light, he will probably be more adventurous then. |

QUOTE(M.soniQ @ May 18 2009, 10:56 AM) i bathe them once a week...takut mites.... kakaka! Added on May 18, 2009, 11:16 am QUOTE(wookp @ May 18 2009, 10:58 AM) Yeah I wanted to ask that question as well...I read from somewhere that your hedgie scratching might mean it has the mites. Hmmm... if they scratch all the time, then probably got mites...easiest way to check is to use black paper.... see if got tiny white dots moving... they dun really like water
they pretty good at grooming themselves i shower them a lot cos i scared of mites n they r ok with it, so no issues for me.... i dun use fleece like u do, probably that's y it's harder to clean.... wood shaving will be harder to keep, msut clean always.. else can be infected by mites... |

i've used newspaper as bedding before, dun recommend it....
other than the 3 factors stated by eric138, they will also turn greyish...due to the newspaper ink they also tend to step on their pee n poo n mess up their own body..so more work for u owners... n u gotta replace it everyday.... This post has been edited by jitshiong: May 25 2009, 11:53 PM |

as for wood shaving, i'm using it at the moment
but i do agree that the shaving do tend to get stuck at their scrotum so gotta be careful n always check, else they will get infection if u r lazy, then better use Breeder Celect |

QUOTE(east_wing @ May 30 2009, 04:27 PM) oh really...i about to give a hedgehog for my sis bcoz she love animal.last time she breed a hamster till my mum pot-pet..hahaha...anyone breed hedgehog here.?how much hedgehog if it is from breeder.? i dun suggest giving ppl pets....unless he/she can really interested, can care n commited to it. Pets r not like toys..cannot simply throw. better talk to her n ask her to do research first. else things might go wrong, consult ur parents as well. i think u need their consent as well rite? just sharing my thoughts though. no hard feelings |

QUOTE(keziaxo @ Jun 21 2009, 12:46 PM) hi, just a question about bathing yes, they will roll in a ball even underwater...im scared that when i pick her up, she turns into a ball and when i put her into the water she will stay in a ball and not come up to breathe?!?? they dont do that right...my friend put that idea in my head so im scared.. but once they r out of breath, they'll start to surface... but then, y wanna put so much water? u wanna drown them meh? 1 inch can de ma... they can swim, but not a good swimmer...... Added on June 21, 2009, 10:30 pm QUOTE(xxstrangerxx @ Jun 21 2009, 06:09 PM) hi , actualy i was thinking to have a hedgehog as a pet, but i heard they will bite, and once they bite they won't let go easily, is it true?? u r getting wrong info la..not that scary.. glider bite hurts more cos their teeth much sharper will bleed if glider bite.. normally hedgehog only nibble, try n see if u r edible.. not as painful... but if they know u r not edible, they won't bite de This post has been edited by jitshiong: Jun 21 2009, 10:30 PM |
