QUOTE(mphpopular @ Aug 25 2008, 12:23 PM) 15m. Juz wish I'm right. Hehe. SL is there, so wont be hurting me much if it does goes bull. Added on August 25, 2008, 12:32 pmI guess today morning. Ej does win all if comparing the volatility. The Ej is move faster than the GJ. OMG... GJ juz like a turtle see ing all moving.. Added on August 25, 2008, 12:36 pmBoth trade is closed. Peace. I know you will telling me there is still alot of short to goes since it broken the support. But I juz following my methodology, I need to train myself to be discipline. Maybe if i didn't follow my rule for this round. I will win for extra 20pips. But maybe in the next time, I will lose for extra 50pips. So i will stay constant wif my way. Hehe GU closed wif +5 EU closed wif +17 yes in trading discipline is very very impt. when i just start trading hand always very itch, love to trade too much. now when i place a trade with SL.i would go do something else.

QUOTE(mphpopular @ Aug 25 2008, 12:44 PM) SIfu, you need to teach me about this, how to put a trade then go do something else??? I really cant make it... Cause once i place trade, even wif all SL and TP. but i still will glue / stick with my PC. no lah i new in trading lah.mayb i not very aggressive trader,i only open 2 trade max and i always use risk calculator before i place trade.i know my acct will not bust out.i have to be honest i also have the urge to come back watch the market, but i tell myself better dont, if not i will apt to change my intial decision.anyway i trade on hourly chart , so not so whipsaw, and i come back every hour to take a look. i dun stick on the monitor, very tiring http://www.forexcalc.com/forex_risk_calculator/http://www.forexcalc.com/#This post has been edited by r326196: Aug 25 2008, 12:55 PM

QUOTE(AskDS @ Aug 28 2008, 09:04 PM) I think he mean long. GU is on going up north. So is EU now. Oil price just touching 120. I think EU will go higher. Hopefully it can crosses daily R1 and beyond. EU is sitting at 4 hour 61% retracement , with immediate trend down.( 4hrly) plus it at Pivot level R1 on the hourly chart. there might be a retracement down looking for the right moment to take a short with tight stop if break r1 , then likely it will run higher This post has been edited by r326196: Aug 28 2008, 09:21 PM

QUOTE(AskDS @ Aug 28 2008, 09:25 PM) I thought it is already passes 61.8% retracement. The resistance is really at the daily R1 now. With oil and gold up, it will go higher. Maybe at the 1.48 level that Adam was alluded to. Good luck. mayb the fib level we draw is at differnet point.on my 4 hourly chart i still do not classify that it passed 61.8%. if it really break 61.8 % , possible strong resistence is at 1.4881. r u now long on EU?

QUOTE(AskDS @ Aug 29 2008, 12:04 AM) Seeking advice from the experience trader here. When a price has a false breakout of the resistance level, pull back and then try again, how many false breakout do you wait before you decide to take an opposite direction? I watch EU tried to break daily R1 4 times and failed, then went south. If I can recognise this earlier, I could have taken at least 15 pips more. If you see an immenient breakout, how many pips do you set your TP? Today I saw UJ will breakout downward and crosses daily pivot. I know it wouldn't reach daily S1 and set a TP of 75% of the upmove. However, it didn't reach that level. I didn't have time to watch it due to work and by the time I came back, it already retrace back to the entry level so I ended up with only 1 pip gain. Could have gotten 55 pips instead. So it would be nice to be able to set a realistic TP level and let it do the job. Thanks for any pointers. i think if it retest 3 times the resistence, i would consider it very strong.plus the EU immediate trend is trending down. QUOTE(AdamG1981 @ Aug 29 2008, 12:23 AM) True, but i am down 300 from my last weeks' profit due to Aussie CBA print and todays' IEA print. I will only short EU from now on. Like you said, playing against the trend is just way too risky. Falling is faster than rising... actually i also start trading not very long, i perfer to look at EU b cos it much easier to knoethe price action pattern. i feel that if i could not master EU or other major, i better dun touch those minor currency. what time frame do you trade, do you look at the upper time frame when you trade

I gotta remind myself not to trade those ******* currencies. one instructor frm fxstreet it better to keep a factor of at least 5 btw yr time frame. if not yr what you see on 30min will be same as what u watch on hourly http://fx-knight.com/smForum/index.php?PHP...7c1e&topic=39.0

QUOTE(AdamG1981 @ Aug 29 2008, 01:00 AM) That's right Dr2. I sense that too. When i look back at the 15 minute EU chart, i saw a shooting star @ 1.48. Too bad i was just happily eating downstairs. I Thought it was a retracement before testing new high. Oops i guess not. Added on August 29, 2008, 1:03 amGuys, what do you see on EU chart at the moment? Going further down or going to rebound a bit looking at 1.4660, but have to do a retest at this level, then i would go long

QUOTE(AdamG1981 @ Aug 29 2008, 01:08 AM) The funny thing is, i wrote an email to my friend in UK. I said GBP will fall to 1.83 but i don't know why i still go long! Foolish, foolish me.. Added on August 29, 2008, 1:10 amOk, i have a short position open @ 1.4694. Will see if it drops to 1.4660 and retest support. if you take the hourly chart , plot a SMA 21/ 55/ 100 all moving down. you will see GBPUSD is on the downtrend. when price move to the band btw 21/55. you would see notice a sharp drop
