the forexfactory calender... i have a few questions.. red indicator means big impact... what about orange n yellow...which one has a bigger impact ?

and how does the actual/forecast/previous work ? lets say existing home sales the actual is higher then forecast.. thats an indication the currency will go up in value?

the actual tends to have colours.. so green means positive news?

Added on August 27, 2008, 10:53 amdr2k3 .. i know the calculations of pivot points is done for.. however how do u determine which candlestick to draw them on?lets assume i take the 1 hour chart... i draw it on my currently ongoing candlestick or the previous 1? or can anyone answer me? ><

for platform i would recommned that u try to use the platform on demo before deciding.. and also google by typing ur platform + the word scam.. i was quite surprised actually .. i typed oanda scam.. there were reports of such thing.. fxcm scam also got and so on.. every single one of it will have scam reports.. but then the quantity of some is rather high compared to others... as of my knowledge.. i saw a report where fxcm was charged for being unethical

Added on August 27, 2008, 2:24 pmp/s: just my 2 cents.. good luck in ur trading =)

so changing it to 200 and 50 is better ? by changing it to this 2 values it acts as a support and resistant? i have only been using the defaults..

nope... not necessary... oanda's demo is a one time sign up for a lifetime..

Added on August 28, 2008, 3:47 pmhowever.. oanda lacks certain things such as OCO.. but i like it due to the tight spread it provides
