What will happen if I apply top coat straight after sanding (aka without painting)? Would the scratches be removed (covered) or they will still be visible? I'm currently applying 1000 grit sand papers, and planning to do a "no paint" job. Thanks in advance.

No.... Topcoat do not cover scratches only protects the paint....
prime is the one who covers scratches but afta u prime means u nid to color it alr...
1000 grit is still very high....
