video performance for 1080p is probably all similar in BD players unless BDP start offering 48bit upscaling videos..
only thing that differs is 1080i video quality..

yeah, when watching 1080p BD even a 5-10k BD player won't give you significantly better PQ than 1.2K PS3... and if you use HDMI pass thro audio to AVR to decode.. also should minimal improvement with the more expensive player..

its not PLUS 10 BD for that price..the way i understood it is....you buy either S350 or S550 or PS3 and you BUY 1 BD and you get another BD free. limit of 10BD....i guess that means you can buy 10 BDs and you get another 10BDs for free.
