OK.. Another noob question is, why do then ppl go for 2 seperate device? For example Dvico & a BD player?
Since this is a 2-in-1 player then its more worth it.. BTW, is Dune good? I mean i'm willing to invest in something but i'm still new in this area... So i need experts advice.
Thanks

Err okays,... Actually what do you recommend.. I mean this seems to be a cheaper alternative as compared to a Dvico + a BDP.. Easily save more than RM1k
But i wonder what is the quality of Dune? I never heard of this brand before..I intend to get a Dvico 6500 actually but after looking at this Dune & its price @ RM1800, it seems to be a great buy..
How bout the PQ & AQ?
Thanks sifus

Yeah i read that in the AVS forum. There will be a hack to make it region free in probably few months time.
Actually, my main purpose of getting this is because of the Media player function. The blu ray is secondary as of now because i have yet to venture into blu ray (no budget).
I nearly got the Dvico until i saw this. Very worth it IMHO, a 2-in-1 BD & Media player!
Thanks for all your advice!

I'm still waiting for the shipping cost from them. I don't think it will be expensive as its only a player... FYI, tthey use both UPS & US Postal (I forgot the actual name but i think this other service is stg like Pos Malaysia or Pos Laju)... I think in SG its a bit overpriced at S$899 which totals up to around RM2.2k - RM2.3k ... The good side is, you can always send back for warranty but mine would be a hassle

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Jul 31 2009, 10:14 AM) It actually depends on dimension and weight. I know the Oppo (8kgs) shipping thru UPS/DHL/FedEx was around RM600-800....So don't be surprised if it comes to be the same as SGD899 in the end. Wow using UPS that expensive eh? I didnt know that.. If its the same price as S$399 then not really worth it cos if anything happen, i need to send it back 2 d US. Hopefully they can give me a reasonable price like around Rm400.. Added on July 31, 2009, 9:44 amQUOTE(arremie @ Jul 31 2009, 10:18 AM) yeah usually item like this they wont ship using US postal service but they use courier instead. Actually i got 2 options, 1 is UPS and d other is US Postal service. I would like to see the price difference and the time it takes to reach my door before i make the decision. I'm just afraid that if i choose the postal service, my player might reach my door in 3-4 seperate pieces Can anyone advice me, if Digital Connection were to ship out mt stuff, would they wrap it nicely before sending it out or they would just send out the whole box as it is? 15% + 10%... Ok lets say my shipping cost is RM600 & the player would cost RM3.6 x USD 399 = RM1437.
Therefore my total cost is RM2037. If include tax meaning RM2037 + 15% = RM2342.55. Add another 10% would be RM2576
Is my calculation correct? Do i add 15% first then add another 10% or do i add 25% straight off the figure?
Thanks

Wah, suddenly now so much Dune fans already ah hahaha, just when i thought of forgo-ing my Dune that i pre-ordered @ US399 due to the high tax charges... I did a rough calculation and it will cost me approx RM2.4 - RM2.5k to bring it in here... Nevertheless i think its one heck of a player with no competition yet if you are looking for a BD + Media player together... Down side is, i dont know how this new 2.0 player will fare as compared to the 1.0 (even tho ppl always say new things are always better), and the warranty which is in the US.. Cheers Added on August 5, 2009, 12:46 pmQUOTE(moomoos @ Aug 5 2009, 01:43 PM) very true they are not stoods, unless you wear skirt cross, maybe they kasihan a bit, Big BD lable at tray, cannot be DVD la Take out the box, scratch the player a bit, dent it abit also. Sure no tax haha This post has been edited by hsiengloong: Aug 5 2009, 12:46 PM

What details are you looking at? I don't own 1 at the moment. MYPW does, maybe you can ask him for more details if you wish...
I actually pre-ordered 1 from the US, and if u are interested u can take over my order. I got it at a cheap price USD$399 (excluding tax & shipping)
