Dune is universal 110-240v...
The Dune come without the region free patch, just need to download and apply....and after so many firmware updates....my region free patch still works.....so no issue....
It does have some playback issue with some Fox titles, but no big deal to me. For those version with Gigabit connection, some of them face some problem but I am not using that.
The loading time is not as fast as the oppo or PS3, but WTH...just 20 sec slower sweat.gif
The price is cheaper than the Oppo by SGD200 (with the heck)....so, it's your call....

I was on AV one @ Singapore Plaza last night and the manager Mr. Goh told me that Dune player should be available early August.  Will definitely bring some of my files to test it out when it arrives.
*
ha...pls ask him to refund my SGD40....tongue.gif
or squeeze a HDMI cable for me tongue.gif

The august stock should be the Ver 2.0 machine made in China...
with 1 USB port less but comes with new sigma chipset
said to be more compatible with BD...but need to wait & see lar

for audio.....errrrr.....use for normal kitchen listening is ok lar....but for serious stuff....still prefer a dedicated CDP....am using CA Azur 640Cv2 as my CDP....FYI tongue.gif

I think for you case, an Oppo BDP-83 will be better....and get a standalone media player if u need one tongue.gif

Dune has just issued a big firmware....with new Sigma SDK f/w....it solved all the BD compatibilities problem and the networking/streaming problems before...thumbup.gif

Just upgrade it last night...load a bit faster too and with auto framerate, it automatically plays the source refresh rate i.e. those 24Hz, 50Hz or 60Hz, without the need to manually select it.
