Sorry to hear the prob bro. Like suggested its best to connect BDP -> HDMI -> TV just for the sake of testing. That will eliminate the most point of failure. What type of HDMI cable you use? I read somewhere some HDMI can't do bitstreaming properly especially over a longer distance.

I set a kind of agreement with my HM. I will buy all the electronic stuff and she buy furniture. So when she bought a 5k mattress she can't argue much if I buy 5k speakers tongue.gif

tried with cheapo HDMI & Wireworld Chroma HDMI, both same results.. but both connected to AVR .... will try to find time to try BDP to TV but I don't really see the point in this coz if it works it means I havd to change my AVR or use optical for audio?? both also no shiok ler.. sad.gif

Yes u got a point there. Maybe just try with another TV just to double confirm that BDP really got compatibility issue.

Analogue signal very vulnerable to noise and interference, better spend more on analogue cables than HDMI. nod.gif

back to BDP seek icon_question.gif  and advice

my set up
Sony 50" LCD
Yammy 3900
BDP >>> shopping around

One Problem but few questions

- LCD take in 1080i and 1HDMI in only
  should i

1) set BDP to 1080i do pass tru from 3900 to LCD

2) set BDP to 1080p (24p can ga) from 3900 downscale to 1080i>>> to LCD

3) set BDP to 1080p from 3900 downscale to 720p >>> to LCD

4) will the 720p (progressive) better the 1080i (interlace)

so if BDP 1080p pass to Yammy... let anchor bay downscale to 1080i better that BDP set 1080i pass tru AVR
then very logic i will search for a better quality BDP
Just get new Sony 1080p panel bro...solve all your problem. W/Z/X? brows.gif
