Old timer growing up watching the original star trek series/movies like me will appreciate this movie
Gen Y/Z might find it boring in terms of the plot, but they'll enjoy the eye candies first, Klingon! well... kinda disappointed when the helmet are removed, feels more plastic and less menacing than the original Klingon and the ending, and I thought they'll pay a tribute to the original Star Trek II by sending Spock too... and alas, it's another way round But the death scene aren't as touching as the original one Also, I'm not really a Trekkie, can anyone tell me if the original Spock lost his temper before and ran amok? Also didn't watch it in 3D, as it's a post production 3D, and based on the 2D, it's great, and IMO it's not suitable to convert to 3D, due to many of JJ's signature shaking cam and light flares... 3D will loose out lots of details, and making you dizzy |

QUOTE(Mov_freak @ May 20 2013, 11:09 AM) I'm afraid you are correct about the gen x/y... I was expecting a full hall during the weekend screening, but alas, my sunday afternoon show aren't even half full! This movie is UNDER PERFORMING in the States... I fear for Star Trek 3... Stupid Americans... my friend working with a local cinema chain also claim it's under-performing now... |
