If I could still find it. I have folks here asking if I could get them that, but my contact in the States was lucky to even get the last copy in Gamestop while she was looking for it. I would'nt hold up hope on it, but I can do a look-see while I'm there of course. I'm a bit reluctant to hassle her again for another favour. sweat.gif

Ohoho, didnt know that, will try it once i can get it to switch ON hehe, i bought the 500mA adapter, the hardware shop fella said it might work, if it didnt i could trade it in for the 1000mA one, which he said would work and will not spoil the device, the important part is the 9V thingy. K-end nanti kalau bole aku sms sama kao.

I'm typing this while listening on the DRS300C. I'd imagine that it is the same case for you and K-End as well, that you need to set whatever players you have the audio playing out from, to PCM, not Bitstream. I'm playing Shoot 'Em Up on Blu-ray but my BD-P1400 was set to output Bitstream, so the resultant audio sound tiny and distant. Changing it to PCM returns it to the experience I remembered : Explosive, punchy and discrete. biggrin.gif

Other good titles to audition your headphones are would be Live Free or Die Hard (tunnel sequence), Black Hawk Down (any of the battle scenes), and my own personal favourite,Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds Live at Radio City Music Hall.

Damn, I'm going crazy with these BD-swapping in and out, wanna hear the difference between the many scenes soundwise.

user posted imageuser posted imageuser posted imageuser posted imageuser posted image

The experience watching BDs with headphones is what i call , "a more intimate experience". Water splashes sounds more visceral and "visual", if you can call it that way. I'm watching National Treasure 2 now, and the escape from Cibola scene is almost too much in term of visual and aural, the weight of the water feels real, and convincing. Sure, i could get the same from the AVR+Speakers I'm using, but when you get only the sound reproduction from your headphones, and not any other external noises, the clarity and experience takes a whole new level altogether. The added bonus of not disturbing your neighbours while you enjoy your movies is nice too.

I'm still auditioning this thoroughly, I'll post my findings, pros and cons, strengths and weaknesses once I'm through. I already tested how far this headphone can go before losing signal, and the 2.4Ghz RF feed actually extends up to my downstairs kitchen! Listening to Ben Gates screaming "Haggis!" at the English bobbies at the Buckingham Palace while I'm making sandwiches has me laughing like hell!! laugh.gif

Your mileage may vary though, since I'm running my wireless network on another different band, Wireless "N" at 5Ghz, so no inteference from the headphone. I've switched it over to 2.4Ghz compatible mode on the Time Capsule, and there are times when the audio cuts off in split second, but immediately latches back on afterwards. But moving it back to Wifi "N", smooth sailing from there.

Audio quality wise, unparalleled! From the specs I've read, this headphones has none of those tacky rumble feature like some gaming-specific headphones I know of (Tritton AX360 anyone?), but crank up the bass on this, and hit Bass Assist to Level 2, and watch and feel this headphone trying to vibrate itself out of your ear sockets all on its own drivers power alone, no rumble crap necessary! Anti-bass-heads like me, who would prefer clarity over tacky bass/overdriving subwoofer-like effects, will appreciate this with the three different levels of Dolby Headphones levels, simulating from personalized audio room, to cinema theatre reproduction levels.

The headphone's set top box allows 2 optical/Toslink inputs and 1 coaxial, PLUS 1 optical/Toslink output, allowing optical/Toslink passthrough when the box is powered. This feature is a welcomed addition expecially if you are using it as a receiver of sorts to your dedicated AVR.

The headphone charges when you slip it into the slot, and ready for use when you take it off its charger slot. You can also replace the rechargable battery when the need comes. What's even more power-saving is the fact that only when you slip it onto your head, that the headphone is powered ON, the elastic headband detects when you are using the headphone and when you've slipped it off your big noggin'.

Volume is controlled at the righthand side of the headphone. It looks like a jogdial, but operates like a toggle, meaning you have to hold it in its possition to switch the volume up and vice versa. This is desirable because you dont end up with loose jogdials and having the volume going up and down crazily. This volume toggle also works as a headphone sync/ID identifier, since you can sync up to 3 other headphones to the same base.Which means movie night will never be the same for those who comes over your place(or mine in this case tongue.gif) as others can enjoy and see(or hear , in this case) what I meant by a more "intimate movie experience".No more yelling and complaints from neighbours, or padding your movie theatre room so that sound doesnt leaks out and annoys the neighbours. biggrin.gif

That's about wraps it up for my impression on the Pioneer SE-DRS3000C. I'm eager to hear what Gaban and K-End thinks about their DS7000. Or anyone else who have the same headphones for that matter. nod.gif

EDIT: This impression now has its own thread in the Audiophile section, marked at this link. I may update it with further findings at that thread, if necessary.

Not unless it's the Mimi(Mariah Carey) or JT(Justin Timberlake) BD tour discs! laugh.gif

I usually am very conscious of what I'm doing in public, although sometimes my buddies can stop and giggle when I sorta tap my fingers or legs while ordering drinks at Starbucks. Did just that too just now, and the baristas was already giggling behind the counters. Once I noticed that, i sorta stopped, but I'm fine with them, I know them well already, until they know the drinks I want already.

Well.....I cant help it, man! Viva la Vida by Coldplay is so catchy and finger-tappable! laugh.gif

I read somewhere that the current being higher than needed is fine, so this confirms what that hardware shop guy said, so you might wanna get the 1000mA one, it will still only feed the device what it needs, just need to set the voltage to 9v and the polarity need to be right too.

Think of MGS4 on your headphone, K-End bro! Otacon screaming SNAAAAAAKKKEEEE in surround! drool.gif laugh.gif

When stepping up/down, as long as the transformer is rated higher than what you need, you will be fine. I have one of those older small converters that I use to power DIY remote control car motors which i made into a makeshift miniature boat (dont ask, this was during my crazy MacGyver days laugh.gif), and those definitely will konk out when stressed with the power needs.

If im not wrong its positive ke apa ke, tak ingat, haha, kena check dekat input tu, theres a symbol for it. So if you buy the adapter yg bole switch polarity, just make sure the symbol matches the one near the input.

Well, I'd expect that price, for the performance it provides. Miniaturization comes at a cost too, and suprisingly , this one doesnt skimp on the performance.

Ok i finally got to try out my DS7000, charged it up real good while i was playing futsal, hehe. I'm not much of an audiophile to be giving an in depth review, but all i can say is that, i've been missing out, BIG TIME!! and coming from only using the TV speakers, its a world of difference. Tried it out on GT5P demo, MGS4, and Live Free or Die Hard tunnel scene(the only blu ray i got from the recommended list, hehe). Obviously i could now hear stuff coming from all over, I'm also hearing a lot more sounds that i never knew existed before. Sound quality is pretty clean with no crackling and no hissing sound or anything. Before sounding more like a fool with my lack of experience in reviewing audio products, I'll just sum it up as it being a whole new experience for me and i dont regret spending the RM1000, hehe.

I am also proud to announce that the headphones passed the jamban test, no change in sound quality behind closed doors of the toilet. Now i can do my business while listening to some Rock and Roll!!! YEAAAHHH. There are no interference from my 802.11b wireless AP too, hehe, sound did start to crack at about 15-20 metres away from the decoder going through a couple walls. Lost signal completely around 20+ metres. Hopefully K-end could give a better review since mine is not exactly informative, hehe.

Phew..just arrive at office.

haha...Im also not an audiophile to give a in-depth review and since this is my first headset(and cost a bomb too), it might sound like a little bit bias.

Oh yeah, since i just arrive & office and must settle some works first..i'll give the longer first impression review about the headphone during lunch hour.

in the mean time, i can summarized the whole thing into 1 sentance:

OMGWTFBBQWALAUWEIMANTAPSIUTIMMAGONNAPEEINMYPANTS!!!!!!!!!!!11111111oneoneoneleven11111!!!!!!
