Okay, I am kinda mad now. It happened to the few items I am selling in my Jumbo sales. And also happened in my previous experience. Just that the volcano erupting now.

I have people asking to COD but want to view first before agreeing to buy. I really don't understand what they want to view....I already posted the picture (for some items) and conditions.

1) if they just want to touch and smell and test, then can do it in the shops

2) this is secondhand sales and I am selling at a loss...I am not making money of this...

3) I am giving 7 days personal WARRANTY. You can check all you want and test all you want in that 7 days.

4) most importantly, item is only like RM15 bucks!! I go meet you cost of petrol or LRT or time and all already more than that.

5) The reason I don't like this is, they say this because they want to ask for further discount after viewing the item. Begging you to reduce further. Even for a RM25 item. BUT price already negotiated before. If I want to sell you cheaper, I can sell another person cheaper also.

I mean, are these really people who are not interested to buy or what? Or just want to get free stuffs??

I am not sure about these people, but I have work. I don't spend my life all day doing nothing and trading in COD. My time to trade is limited. I can't be wasting my time letting people view my items before they decide to buy. Even if it's few hundred ringgit item, they can test it and so on.

They can always say..want to test first to make sure item is functioning properly.
Not like "I want to view before I buy". When I ask, "what you want to view about the item?"
Then they says, "can't view first before buy? So cocky."

But of course you want to VIEW the item before you PAY me the money, right? Or else defeats the purpose of COD. IF the item really is not what the seller says then buyer can always don't want to buy. So, WTF is this "view first before buy" really means?

I personally see this as something for the buyer to ask for further discount. And when it happens to a RM15 item...it really ticks me off.

Anyone encountered this before? What happened and what the buyer actually means? I just want to make this clear before I start yelling for the next person to ask about this to Fk.off.

i was the buyer. i didn't see the pic before i buy, and the seller agree for me to view before buying. item was SE W800i, for RM400-500 not really remember.. i didnt mean to kacau, as long as the phone was not too bad, i would take it.. especially my phone was just broken and i was urgently in need of a replacement phone..

we met up at mid valley and i checked the phone. the phone was really far from what i had expected.. a lot scratches.. i felt really guity and sorry to the seller, but i really couldn't accept the phone.. i appologied nicely and leave..

cause who knows whether u will backup ure 7days warrantty claim
and then will u pay for the other persons transport charges..etc...petrol..
heck and time..

thats y ppl view first..

all my buyers.. i let them view and decide
but since all my stuff are in mint condition...sales proceed..

u should ask ureself .. y those ppl didnt buy rather that start a b**** thread..
infact starting a thread like this is only going to make ppl wonder the condition of ure items
picture does not tell a thousand words when it comes do item condition..

if ure items is well priced.. they y do u have to worry about..
also when u do cod.. shouldnt u do a background check on the person ure dealing with??
i do.. i dont deal with noobies..

erm.. i dun have such similar case, but i did encounter once.... meeting buyer for rm120 worth of item, then he show me his wallet tell me he is broke when we meet up, 115.50 is everything in his pocket and max he can offer.... i'm speechless and since i aredi come out, if driving back guess i will lose that money so no choice but accept his "offer"..... gosh 5bucks pun tak ader.....
lazy to ask him do the bank transfer for the remaining balance...
but however, if the buyer insist view first then only buy, i think it is acceptable if it is hp trade. else i wont give a damm.... or you can stat buyer have to pay for ya transportation fees if they reject the deal upon meet up

So it is your mistake then for not providing a proper photo.
I havent had that problem before i want something and the condition is good i take it since confirm already but if the item is in bad condition ill ask for discount if cant do then i call the deal off.

Have to be fair what.

Do you think my "safe trader" tag can be had for RM15? Do you think I want to trade my over thousands of posting as veteran for a mere RM15? This is not my first trade for the 5 years in this forum, do you think I can get away with the 7 days warranty so easily even for at RM600 item? My years of reputation is worth dispute over 7days warranty of RM15 item or RM200 item?

You decide yourself (I mean the buyer not cstkl1). If you think it's not worth the risk then don't trade with me. But spare me the cheap tricks and the even cheaper person.

It's not my mistake for not providing proper photo because I never oversell my things. They are second hand anyway. What do you expect for a secondhand product?

If it's in very bad condition like scratches, I will state so. I have had one case long time ago where buyer didn't buy cause he actually really just want to see first. That's why I am skeptical NOW to meet these people who want to "see first then decide".

And I want to know what they want to see first. Isn't that too much to ask also? and they call me cocky pulak. I want to know so that if it's scratches they are concern about then I could tell them right off the scratches condition. If it's functionality, then I will tell them the condition. But if they just reply back and say I am cocky don't want to let people view item first then you can't blame me for suspecting you are not serious buyer.

if its a handphone etc, i guess they can test it on the spot in case u sell them the shell only.. perfumes however, can be tested in shops so ignore those people unless you are nice enough

having your safe trader tag doesnt mean you are 100% truthful and guaranteed that you wont con people. dare to admit you've never lied before? it's only human to doubt someone you do not know..

but i guess if you have provided all the information and photos of scratches etc, the buyer should purchase it unless its not what you've stated. if you do not like to trade with these people, then dun trade with them la! you can tell them in a polite way and not tell them to fk off.. that's just childish.

e.g. Sorry, I don't provide "see first then decide" service. If you want more information on the product, I can provide you with the details but COD session will only be arranged once purchase is confirmed.

considering the way you type, you seem more sophisticated than barbaric so why utter vulgarities at inexperienced traders when you can instead change their mind whilst maintaining your reputation.

I have more great story to tell but lazy to type.

Next time don't do COD, if want self collect ask for FULL payment first like myself. If got free shipping then use it, save every one time and money.

That's all.

Happy trading.

Next time buy from me, I won't con you OK?
If you feel is risky with that person then don't deal.
If the customer feels I am unreliable, I ask them buy from somewhere else.

If they are serious buyers they wouldn't have this view-first-pay-later thingy. End of. Sold some stuff through COD. All of them who are serious buyers when we meet, just greet and then they ask some questions if they have after that they straight away pay and take the item. nod.gif

That is why i put those word on btm of my msg. Hehehe, don't trust me? don't deal with me. As easy as that, so far, i had a very sucessful deal with each and every person i made. They never gave me trouble and i even offered after-sale warranty even though it is expired.

I think seller really should post pictures la. at least show that u r sincere in telling the real condition of the item.
COD should be made only after deal is confirmed lo, for me if the buyer is not satisfied with pictures and ask View B4 purchase, then I'll reject...
And buyers, don ask for discount la when u have already agreed in pm the price.. cheapskate lo...
