Hey, I was wondering if any of you have cats that go along well with dogs. Could you tell me how to make them friendly?
Planning to get a cat in December from a friend's pregnant cat.(Beautiful pregnant calico is the mom).
Oh and I have a chinchilla and am thinking...Would it help the cat stay away if i put lemon juice on the grills of the cage.
Also, is it true that a female cat must have one litter before it's spayed?. People say that it can have complications otherwise.
Sorry for questions. Just trying to prepare myself and all to be a good owner. >_<

Oh i have a spitz cross(medium sized)(lives outside) and a long haired chihuahua(lives inside).Plus a chinchilla and I googled up chinchilla and cats and lookie what I found. http://exoticpets.about.com/od/chinchillas/f/chinccats.htmAlso, what I meant was that I wanted to get a female kitten. I don't want any litters so I want to spay it. People tell me that the cat needs to conceive 1 litter before it can be spayed. Anyone can shed light upon this? Oh and I am planning to make it an indoor cat

Hey you all!! how are your cats doing? I have some sad news. My friends cat had a miscarriage. According to my friend the dead 3 week foetus just plopped out with lots of blood. Her belly shrank back to normal and all. Oh well, I was so keen on getting a cat. D:

Yeah, she brought it to the vet.Vet said that the cat was too stressed about the change in environment. {my friend moved form a house to an apartment}. Sigh. I'm still ready for cats though, I did LOTS of research. I might probably go to SPCA or PAWS to adopt one. Will post LOTS of pictures if I do.

Guys, I'm sorry to ask a lot of questions but what brands do you recommend for food and litter?

Hmm, my budget is somewhere around RM150. Is it possible to get a 2 month supply of Orijen and OKO plus with that amount of money. Dog and Chinchilla food only costs me about RM 100 but lasts for quite a long time. Just asking. FYI I plan on having ONE cat. Hopefully I can find a Tortie and white or a calico kitten at SPCA. I loves their colours
