IAMS and Science plan should be ok. just choose any of it. IAMS is popular interm of "not bad" quality and its reasonable price. Science plan is veterinary recommendation. if you can afford any of this, its good enough.

if me, i will just go for Science Plan if you cat don't have problem eating it slightly higher in term of price than IAMS

i think you can be a good example for the newbie lah, like most people don't really care what to feed their kitten or cat.

if you know what to feed your cat, you will give good health too them.

you can bring him out, but just becareful, not to bring fleas back

HappyKat are you a new member haven't seen you around here before. I know I am a Newbie too. Regarding your Happy cat, I suggest you should stick to Science Plan and Iams. It should be ok eating a little Whiskas and Friskies. It won't kill the kitten.

the ear wax black black brown brown thinggy is from ear mites. the stay inside cat ears and do that wax. when too many ear mites, the ears will be itchy, cat will start to scratch the ear till "luka-luka", and the worst part the fur near the ears become botak.

garu garu the ears is the sign of mites.

if you don't know how to clean the ears, you can ask your vet to do demo for you. for sure they will teach you

since you haven't vaccine him, you can bring him and ask for the ear cleaning demo don't forget to deworm too

i still remember 1 day that i had found a cat which its head tied with a plastic bag..
so pity that cute fella.. luckily my friend and i met that cat..

barbar554 has a good point of whiskas and other supermarket food. but you need to remember, it may not kill them now, but slowly it will. and trust me, when they eat this food, they easily get addicted to it, and will reject all other food. like us also lah, keropok/junk food will always be number 1 first because of the sweet taste if u have fussy or cerewet cat, so hard to pujuk them to eat other food if they got addicted with junk food.

since your cat like to escape to go outdoor, it will have high possibility to get mites from outside.

if you going to have indoor and outdoor cat both at the same time, better get the equipment to clean the ears by yourself. its more convenient than going to the vet every week.

vaccine you need once a year. but if your cat never vaccine, they will do it 2 times for the first shot, one after another.

deworm u cat do atleast every 3 or 4 months a year.

ear cleaning week or every time u groom them or maybe every time u see they get itchy and wax.

vaccine normally rm30-rm40 depends on the vet.

neuter normally will do after 4 months.. u must vaccine your cat before neuter. so let say if u vaccine him in September, the second shot will be october (since he's first time with vaccine right), and in november you can neuter him.

i found some people neuter without vaccine, yes u can, but its your responsible lah if anything going wrong. since its going to be a cut on the body, so germs and virus easily get into your cat.

Yes yes. My Happy SUKA sangat tu whiskas dan friskies..cepat makan and can eat a lot! I hope I have been
lucky to have stop feeding him after 2 months.  So far I think I have fed him 3pkt X 1.5kg Whiskas
and 1pkt X 1.4kg Friskies plus other wet food.  Hopefully no serious damage done to him...Kesian...but he
looks fine and very active & nakal..

He is very playful...anything that moves is sort of toy for them! And they like to bite all the time!  Macam everything

animal abuse its soo common in our country...we just dont have the proper laws to take action unlike countries like US and so on...

some believe that biting is normal for kitten because they have itchy gums.. the growing teeth, or the process of baby teeth change to adult teeth, like human baby

i normally will ask my friends that is from kl to come over to my house, feed and clean my cats.. i will pay them that way but that's only happen like 3-4 days, since my housemate will only take short holidays for hari raya.

cat is a very emotional animal... some may be ok, but high percentage are very emotional. educating your kitten the right way - you will get good adult cat.

lempang too hard, bully to hard will end up making the cat do not like you, and even freak out when see you. this is actually the hardest part of having cat.

because, cat is category into a independent animal. they care for them self. human come to help them and give more love. so when the cat found they are getting the wrong owner, its very easy for them to hate you. at the same time, its very easy to get them love you like crazy.

conclusion, cat is a very unpredictable animal. i'm not so sure bout dogs...

i think there's a muffler for cat. i saw it once, can't remember which petshop. and the grooming place i usually went too, also got this muffler - they put it on my cat when blowing and nail cutting...

i found in the google, they DIY muffler using human sock.. like cut 10cm of it, and cover the head

yeap i perasan. u want to know why? because cat don't scratch/cakar using kaki belakang they only cakar using the front legs. eheheh sebab tu kuku belakang dia mudah tumpul dan mati.

u need to know that, cat scratch to make their nails sharp, easier for them to climb the trees and hunt for predator.

cut the infront nails, memang cepat tumbuh balik. obvious dorang akan cakar guna kaki depan.

congrats on your kitten first medical check up

i strongly advice you to do it one after another. i mean, do the vaccine first, and after that (maybe the following month or two) the FIV blood test. I'm pretty sure next month you have to bring for second vaccine jab right.

unpredictable behavior is normal for cat. your kitten might feel something going through his/her skin after vaccine. and suddenly another one going through, for sure he/she freak out.

i may not want to continue this. because, like i always say, cat is very emotional, once he/she hates it, he/she will hates it forever. you might not want to stress the kitten at early age. at this small age, one simple things that make he/she do not like - will make them "do not like" it forever.

since the age is 4 months old, and i think you just got that kitten right? it is important to build the trust between you and the kitten. to see this trusting behavior, you will see your kitten/cat will look for you if there's something wrong. if you cat run away without letting you know, then thats mean they do not trust you yet.

like in the vet, my cats will jump on me (carry like a baby), because they scare with the environment. i will have to hold them by myself, if the vet hold them - sure mengganas

anyway my cats are all spoil brads i treated them too much like a human, spend too much on them, paying too much attention, etc... until benda sikit pun kucing jadi kecoh mencari tuan dan terlalu manja.

only 2 of them manage to be independent, the others, kalau duduk - mesti penuh kaki, mesti menyibuk duduk depan kita nak dekat dekat, mengalah kan orang bercinta.

p/s average weight for female kitten age 4 months old is between 1.3kg - 1.8kg. while male kitten age 4 months old is between 1.6kg - 2.5kg. So your boy is in good weight 

p/s about the ambil darah waktu neuter, i'm not so sure. tak pernah buat, maybe you can ask advice from your friendly vet
