yeap i perasan. u want to know why? because cat don't scratch/cakar using kaki belakang they only cakar using the front legs. eheheh sebab tu kuku belakang dia mudah tumpul dan mati.

u need to know that, cat scratch to make their nails sharp, easier for them to climb the trees and hunt for predator.

cut the infront nails, memang cepat tumbuh balik. obvious dorang akan cakar guna kaki depan.

yang belakang tu just for running, and garu leher/kepala.

yeap spot on reaction. ye lah racun pembunuh kutu kan.. akan buat body lemah sikit. but its alright

congrats on your kitten first medical check up

i strongly advice you to do it one after another. i mean, do the vaccine first, and after that (maybe the following month or two) the FIV blood test. I'm pretty sure next month you have to bring for second vaccine jab right.

unpredictable behavior is normal for cat. your kitten might feel something going through his/her skin after vaccine. and suddenly another one going through, for sure he/she freak out.

i may not want to continue this. because, like i always say, cat is very emotional, once he/she hates it, he/she will hates it forever. you might not want to stress the kitten at early age. at this small age, one simple things that make he/she do not like - will make them "do not like" it forever.

since the age is 4 months old, and i think you just got that kitten right? it is important to build the trust between you and the kitten. to see this trusting behavior, you will see your kitten/cat will look for you if there's something wrong. if you cat run away without letting you know, then thats mean they do not trust you yet.

like in the vet, my cats will jump on me (carry like a baby), because they scare with the environment. i will have to hold them by myself, if the vet hold them - sure mengganas

anyway my cats are all spoil brads i treated them too much like a human, spend too much on them, paying too much attention, etc... until benda sikit pun kucing jadi kecoh mencari tuan dan terlalu manja.

only 2 of them manage to be independent, the others, kalau duduk - mesti penuh kaki, mesti menyibuk duduk depan kita nak dekat dekat, mengalah kan orang bercinta.

p/s average weight for female kitten age 4 months old is between 1.3kg - 1.8kg. while male kitten age 4 months old is between 1.6kg - 2.5kg. So your boy is in good weight

p/s about the ambil darah waktu neuter, i'm not so sure. tak pernah buat, maybe you can ask advice from your friendly vet

are u sure thats the only kitten born? did u check the kitten? did u check other place?

u might want to have a look why she meow meow, there's maybe something bugging her.

yea vaccine will make the kitten week for awhile. im pretty sure your vet did mention, if the kitten is getting bad and sick for 2-3 days bring back to the vet? a kitten who has bad body immune will normally collapse and died when vaccine hit them. they normally will get tired, sick, no appetite for 24 hours after the jab. then sure ok already.

Most adult senior cat will face this problem. there's not much can be done. just like human, kita gosok gigi hari hari, bila tua pun tetap akan longgar dan jatuh.

the only problem you want to make sure is the gum problem (gusi). Gum will always make the problem, its very easy to get diseases. You have to check the gum make sure it look fresh+pink. if u found blood, or darah beku around it, you must bring to vet.

even if you found extra teeth growing, u must cabut it. extra teeth will make the gum tissue feel uncomfortable. like human, extra teeth ni selalu tumbut kat lelangit, dan di luar gusi.

back to the "ketahanan gigi", that is the reason why you found cat food for senior cat. this biscuit/kibble is alil bit softer than adult cat food. senang untuk di kunyah. i think iams and science plan ada jual senior cat pun kibbles. not sure about royal canin.

cat age 4 biasa nya tak ada problem gigi. like my case, my 4 years old, bang the floor and terkena gusi, and gigi tu abit patah and longgar. sebab tu doktor cabut terus, because kalau tak di cabut, ia akan jadi sakit dan gusi mudah kena infection. bila dah cabut it never grow back, because it is not a baby teeth. they still can eat though, they have like 29 other teeth. and trust me, cat teeth is very good to tear up anything

unless.. again, if u have the gum problem, then they won't have stronger teeth. nak gigi pun susah, sbb gusi sakit.

what to do eheheh thats why people always miss the kitten when theirs grow become cat.

they will become super active in kitten stage only. after 8 months above, they start to slow down, and become more slower. see how short that is? sure u going to miss that scene of biting, jumping, scratching, breaking eheheheh...

unless u have hyper active cat genetic lah, that will last forever eheheh

Is it the same food before visit vet, and after visit vet?

something going wrong with that food, i wonder what food that is?

geesshhh u better pay more attention to the kitten diet...

first jangan kasi makanan lain selain royal canin... bila campur2 makanan, sebab tu perut dia tak tahan. since dia memang dah ada tanda2 diarrhea, and now u didnt jaga his/her diet, sbb tu jadi semakin terus.

second, dulu you bagi friskies, now RC.. sbb tu masih continue diarrhea. because u tukar makanan secara mengejut. you should have mix both friskies and RC, lepas tu slowly decrease the friskies. sampai lah 100% rc.

third, ada kucing memang akan tercirit berit bila makan RC kitten for the first time.

so what to do... avoid the rice+ikan, you can use boil chicken for this... ambik isi daging ayam, rebur separuh masak.. jangan masak sangat. lepas tu bagi kitten u makan, and sup ayam tadi bagi sebagai air minum dia. remember jangan letak apa apa perisa... buat ayam rebus kosong sahaja.

at the same time, keep continue bagi RC kitten food tu.

insyallah sup ayam + ayam rebus kosong tadi boleh bantu dia.

errkk advice people in your house not to feed anything else beside Royal Canin then..

petua from my vets and pure breed cattery friends. its work well with my kitten last time. dulu kitten i pun macam you. mula2 bagi proformance kitten dia ok. bila i change to Royal canin, tiba-tiba diarrhea tercirit. some more dia bulu panjang, habis bulu belakang dia hampir hari hari kena cuci area tu. penat juga. so then vet advice me to give ayam rebus 50%, then RC 50%... the next day terus ok.. and till now dia tak de problem makan RC lagi dah. kira nya RC dah sebati dengan perut dia.

yeap, kalau vet ada bagi ubat syrup (antibiotik ka, vitamin ka, apa apa), mesti habis kan tau jangan tak di bagi... especially antibiotik...

errkk baka apa? Dia ada sijil dari mana mana persatuan kucing malaysia atau antarabangsa? kalau tidak ada, so dia Domestic Long Hair kalau dia bulu panjang = baka campuran (campuran dari apa apa jenis kucing sekali pun), so tak boleh detect dia baka apa, melain kan dia ada sijil - sebab dalam sijil tu akan tulis jenis baka dan salasilah keluarga dia.

kalau bulu pendek atau kucing kampung = domestic short hair

p/s is that GULI dalam picture? mak ai minta2 lah di jauh kan benda tu. takut i tengok... harap2 dia tak telan benda tu.

Tak kisah lah stray cat ke, kucing domestic long or short ke, yang penting, kucing you dalam picture to bakal jadi yang terhangat di pasaran. handsome seeyyy.... time tak sihat pun dah nampak handsome, kalau sihat, mesti awek awek kat luar tu phewitt kat dia

oowww u tak biasa guna litter box, so that's mean you tak biasa ceduk najis lah ye... kena lah biasa2 kan ehehehe...

My cats vet is actually Segar Vet, which is near to my place. But neuter/spay i normally do it at Baby Pets - because i trust them you know lah, things to do with surgery ni ehehehe.. im very concern about my cats, i rather pay high price as long as they get good service.

p/s again that is the best way to spoil your cat

if your cat is 2 months and above, sepatut nya dah di vaccine. but since he is not in good condition - vaccine tak akan di bagi. unless dia 100% sihat.

if u already vaccine him, then there's should be problem anymore. next 2 weeks tu just bawa pergi deworm.

hopefully dalam masa 2 minggu ni, najis dah ok (berketul).. if tak ok juga after u follow my resepi tadi (remember don't let your kitten tukar2 makanan, just stick to RC and ayam rebus + sup ayam rebus kosong), i think u need to deworm.. tak perlu tunggu sampai 2 minggu.

remember juga, not to bath your cat now... biar diarrhea habis dulu, and dia nampak ok baru bath.

u just cuci bahagian kotor tu saja. kalau satu badan, sebab tu dia tak henti henti demam. sebab kucing memang bukan haiwan yang mandi air pun.

kurang kan mandi dulu. kalau you keep on mandi kan dia, lambat nak baik dari demam. nanti end up with flu pulak.

even lepas vaccine pun u tak boleh mandi kan kucing. sebab, bila kucing di vaccine dia akan demam sekejap 1-2 days. sistem badan akan lemah. kalau u mandi kan juga, temperature badan akan naik tinggi buat kucing terus.... errkk tak mo sebut lah ehehehe

Even the Segar Vets ramai young doctor. Which i don't have problem with them. Why I like Baby Pets and Segar Vets because,

-they will asked alot of questions before they do anything to my cats.
-they will make sure let their boss or other senior doctor know what steps they going to do.
-they are nice to my cats, so my cats tak freak out bila di urus
-they call me after visited them to ensure my cats are ok
-they drop me a postcard on the next treatment
-they also sometimes call to remember me my next appointment
-although they are busy, with so many patient, they still have time to entertain you, talk about your pets
-the best part, Segar Vet doctor remember which and which is my cats, when i visited them with other cat, the doctor will ask about the cat that i brought few months ago. didnt that sound nice?
-they listed the price budget before starting doing treatment

i will stop visiting a vet if:
-they don't speak
-they do something without asking what happen (some vet show off that they are so good, and do thing without asking the cat condition at home. hello! im the owner you should ask me more details, like as if they sleep with my cats at home, pandai-pandai je kasi macam macam ubat)
-they don't even know how to handle a cat
-they speak one or two words when i ask question
-simply do anything they want, and walla the bill is like WHAT!

Ada 8 ekor anak anak.... tapi i duda.. ahahah bini dah tak ada. Ayah tunggal lah kata kan eheheheh.
