QUOTE(TomatomanzSeedlezz @ Jun 29 2008, 04:55 PM) I juz watched the 19mins gameplay... looks good indeed, but i gotta say somehow TQ still looks more gfx intensive, and more detailed interms of textures and almost everything animates like trees which i noticed that D3's trees doesnt animates at all, but that doesn't mean D3 its worse, as it looks of it, D3 juz use different art direction, like pretty color palettes and so on.. basically looks very artistic like WC3... That was exactly what i was thinking when i first saw the Barbarian gameplay footage....But then the barbarian got some armour and he looked more like a Diablo barbarian.I noticed now Blizzard like to use its colorful art directions opposed to hi-textures.. its like trademark for Blizzard games as i seen from WC3, SC2 and now D3. And from the looks of it, if u can run TitanQuest, u have no problem running D3 at all, and imo D3 shld be much lower hardware requirement than TitanQuest, not to mentioned definately much more optimised than TitanQuest. Action-RPG on Havok tech oredi in TQ (falling down the bridge. stairs and etc) , so nuthin new there, but the cool things abt D3 uses Havok tech its on their environments.. sweetnezz.. To sum up, now D3 looks like they took "God of War" game in implement into their game.. as u can see that u can take life from those dead zombies and the boss walking passing by the background, and the best of all its the way of "storytelling"... it totally engrossing. Well said, and for those who didnt know WinXP still being support till 2014... lol... not to mention theres quite alot great game developers doesn't even use DX10 like IDsoftware, Valve (which Gabe the game dev condemned DX10.. lol) and now Blizzard Cheers This post has been edited by frags: Jun 29 2008, 05:17 PM |

It doesn't means a game is closer to release if it has been in development for a long time....This is Blizzard...they take their time with things..This post has been edited by frags: Jun 30 2008, 03:33 PM |

QUOTE(Kuroro @ Jul 2 2008, 07:08 PM) You can still order battle chest sets for diablo i think. And some small shops still selling them. I think TSB got but need to order Completely the prerogative of the developer or IP owner. IP's last for a very long time(Generally 50 years). Just because one or two developer make their early titles freeware doesn't mean everyone else will. Its a bonus to consumers....never our right. But I agree with you to some point. Old games should start being distributed free online or something. Something like what they did for Command and Conquer |

QUOTE(GameFr3ak @ Jul 12 2008, 10:39 PM) Not high la Yeah sure...but not in Malaysia And I think piracy will not destroy such epic/kengchao/uber game. Most might get the pirated version at first and then they'll head on to buy the ori for collection No publisher/developer has ever been destroyed by piracy in Asian countries(except maybe Asian developers)...And also the big companies fare better than smaller companies.. |

WTH!
http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/54086 QUOTE Blizzard Searching for New Diablo 3 Art Director by Aaron Linde Aug 07, 2008 1:09pm CST A new job posting on developer Blizzard Entertainment's website reveals that the company is looking to recruit a new art director for their anticipated hack-and-slash sequel Diablo III (PC). The listing, pointed out by Kotaku, follows reports of a number of fans dissatisfied by Diablo III's brighter color palette as compared against the darker, less saturated look of previous Diablo titles. The new hire would presumably replace current Diablo III art team lead Brian Morrisroe. While it is not immediately clear whether Morrisroe has left the company, it appears unlikely that the posting is a direct result of the fan response to Diablo III's current art direction; other Blizzard staffers such as designer Jay Wilson and lead producer Keith Lee have reaffirmed the team's commitment to the new art style, pointing out its practical and technical merits. Shacknews has contacted Blizzard for clarification, and will update as soon as more information is made available. |

QUOTE(wayne_chen @ Aug 6 2009, 09:44 PM) Only if you are going to Cologne...the playable demos they are talking about have been available everytime they showed the game(even in the last Blizzcon). Its not the release demo. It's just as short demo of a level they want to show. Not for public...just for GamesCom attendee's(and most possibly BLizzcon attendee's) . |

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Aug 2 2011, 10:33 PM) Yar wor, that was really bad value for money unless we hardcore diamond league. Of course it will. This time it will be for expansion of the data centre and providing better service from the feedback they gotten.Blizzard said it was to pay for supposedly one-time cost of setting up Singapore Battlenet, do you suspect it will be recurring? |
