i use veseline:), like mite say, any comsumable oil or baby oil will do. but not cooking oil ah. cooking wil become sticky after sometime.

normal a well feed hammi can see in early age, but sometime when we get from pet shop they r not so well feed since baby(from breeder to the shop), then they may not develop so soon.

after we bring them home with good intake. they will grow and will show.

Ans: all animals can be chubby if they are well feed, but syrian is the biggest size in hammi family.

Q2. Correct me if im wrong, i read on the 1st page stating 2 Syrian hamster shall not be placed in the same cage. But i was wondering how come those petshop able to place groups of the same species under the same cage?
Ans: Pet shop do not have soooo much space to seperate them into single tank, also most of the pet shop do not care. so don't simply go any petshop to get ur hammi.

Q3. How much lifespan is an average Hamster? Or they varies between species?
Ans: about 2 yrs +-

Q4. I still have doubts placing a SINGLE Syrian hamster in a cage will not bored it to death. I always thought the more the merrier.
Ans: Syrian is SOLITARY, so there is no 'bored' in their dictionary.

a very well feed syrian can see around 1mth+ oh..

better ask ur friend to run his/her finger through the robo, see if she any pain reaction.

yes the 2 ft plastic guppy tank is best.. if u hv budget n want very the best, get zoozone hehhehe... fansy fansy cage is too small for syrian..

wire cage, when they chew on it, its annoying. also may injurt their nose n eye. n like babymoli say. normal big wire cage is not nice.

if u hv the budget, maybe u consider the wodent wheel, cost i guess after sometime . u may still wanna get the wodent wheel LOL..so if got budget better get a good one sekali go. rather end up buy 2, spend more.

yes remember 8 inch ya! small wheel can injurt them!
